  1. God he got really lucky when Ball dropped that pass. Outside of that the 3 senior LBs played really well. Compton had 10 tackles, Whaley had 9 and broke up the last real play of the game (not counting the kneel downs), and Fisher made at least 1 huge stop on a 3rd and short. Congrats to all 3, don't think they're going to get to play until Michigan State though.
  2. Similar to the Ohio State game last year, except Ohio State was straight up beating us. We had problems in the first half, but it was because Ohio State was playing great. Even in the second half we got lucky because Miller rolled his ankle. If he plays the whole game it's a toss up with us probably losing (but I think we controlled the game after David's fumble and it didn't matter what QB was playing). Tonight, we straight up beat them in the second half. 0 injuries on Wisconsin's side. Just complete domination by both the offense and defense. This is the second straight week (not counting Idaho State) that the defense has come out of half with fire and completely smothered the offense. Of course we absolutely need to fix a lot of things. This is a flawed team, but I like the mental fortitude they've shown after the UCLA game.
  3. Fumbles almost killed us. Without those two fumbles we win by 3 scores and it's not as close. Kudos to Wisconsin for taking advantage, but we also spent most of the first half shooting ourselves in the foot.
  4. Played absolutely horsesh#t in the 1st half. Night and day in the 2nd half. We ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT do this again though. We can't come out flat like that. Shades of Ohio State last year. Now let's see what we can do going forward. Are we going to build off this and keep the momentum? Or are we going to crap the bed somewhere again?
  5. D has stepped it up against the last 2 teams with some type of pulse (Arky State and Wisky). 89 yards allowed against Arky, and we're right at those yards right now. First half we couldn't have played any worse, but we were only down 10. We're at 20-7 in the second half.
  6. Burkhead just doesn't have that first step burst at this point. He's still shifty as all heck, but he just doesn't seem right.
  7. There are problems with this team, but a lot of it is mental. Defense has played the run great and has come alive in the 2nd half. Can't fault them too much for the offense giving Wisconsin short fields on two possessions.
  8. Burkhead probably isn't 100% right now. Knee is still bothering him.
  9. Actually scored 4 tds against Mizzou. It was 12-0 going in.
  10. Why can't we turn our heads on long passes? For how good Hagg was, he was the one who got burnt on ISU's TD in '09. Countless other times too. Stafford turns his head, it's either a pick or it's our ball. Those were the only two things that could've happened. Frustrating first half, but there's still another 30 minutes. I've liked how we've played in the run defense, now we just need to get our heads straight on PA passes. Offense stepped it up on their last drive. I still like our chances.
  11. They've also ran the same exact play twice to Abraderas, jump the f'ing route.
  12. Every single defense I've seen in the past 5 years has had problems looking for the f'ing ball on long pass plays.
  13. There's been twice now where the short end of the field on 3rd and short, we've stacked our receivers and there wasn't a CB, really any defenders in the area. Call an audible, and have the receiver sit. Easy throw and catch with very small chance of not getting a first down. GDit
  14. That was probably all on SJB. Look at what Jackson did on the other side.
  15. It's 8 minutes into the game. DONU ;couldn't have had a worse start, but we were down by 21 to Ohio State with 22 minutes left last year. Take a breath and get off the ledge.
  16. Already melting down when we're just 5 minutes into the game, everyone take a deep breath.
  17. Unis look pretty sharp on the field. Def better looking than the reveal.
  18. That I think the turning point of the season happened on a terrible officiating call (Ameer's "muffed" punt against ASU last week). Ever since then our defense has been playing pretty good.
  19. Very hard to think that the staff would've played Anderson if they knew it was a torn ACL. They're very quiet about injuries, but they would never do anything to intentionally hurt one of their players.
