  1. You do what you got to do. Some things are bigger than football and I have nothing but respect for that if his decision comes down to staying there to help out. There are worse things than kids learning to look out for others besides themselves. Can I honestly ask what is he going to do in Cali to help his family put food on the table that he can't do from Neb? If you think long enough about it, some illegal things come to mind which are far more likely in Cali than Neb. He should get out of Cali to stay away from things that could cause him problems. What problems are you saying he needs to get away from? I think the original poster my comment was directed towards discussed poverty which in itself is not a problem to fly across the country away from. Lewis made a comment earlier in his recruiting about wanting to get away from bad influences that are around him in Cali, so maybe that's it.
  2. I'm amazed that he is still here but I do know the guy is actually a class act and not the prima donna type who wants to quit if he doesn't play. I almost wouldn't mind it if he did just so he can go somewhere that will utilize the talent he clearly has. A fellow s sider. His lack of playing time is straight up insulting. Hate to say that I kind of agree. I think he's our best ball carrier (hard to really say, he hasn't gotten much of a chance). Wilbon has a tendency to put the ball on the ground at inopportune times, I imagine that has a bit to do with his lack of playing time. http://247sports.com/player/mikale-wilbon-21725 These stats show 1 fumble for Wilbon in the entire year. Seemed like more, thanks for the info.
  3. "Heaven in the Hood," interesting take on the area.

  5. Why are you trying to move running backs to defense???? Where is your thought process going here. You are one strange cat sometimes. Probably because Osborne used that kind of tactic a bit when he was coaching.
  6. His mom already said he's a NSD decision. If he's an NSD decision, why all the drama with the damn hats?
  7. Penn State was supposedly in a similar position with all of their sanctions.
  8. You'd take 2*s over 4*s? He's only a 2* because of academic issues. He's without a doubt the best player in the state and 24/7 doesn't even have him rated. Bradley is high 3*/ low 4* talent IMO. But he's not until he is. Anyone will acknowledge that his stats are bonkers, but if there is a player out there with the talent of a 4 star running back (which is rare, academics or not) the services will rate them. Just trying not to set the kid up for failure before he gets to school. He's good backup and a bridge between Bryant and what is hopefully TJ Pledger. Nothing wrong with that Good to see you already have his career mapped out for him. Have you let Jaylin know of his certain mediocrity at the next level? Cleary gorp has never seen Jaylin play, the kid is no backup.
  9. *deleted* Seems like it's Chris Jones first time at following recruiting. There are jerks like these all over the country and at every school, the mentally tough get this and don't let it affect them.
  10. If even half of the report is true, that's some special kind of f'd up s**t that went on up there.
  11. Coach JP made an in home visit not long ago, I doubt we cooled on him that hard Only speculation here - maybe JP made a visit to say we are looking different directions or you need to schedule a visit or we will treat your commit as a non commit. Either way this class will be interesting to see how it finishes. There would be no reason to make a visit to tell a kid that. Agreed. Kind of a waste of both time and funds. That's more of a phone call. Unless he was in the area to visit other prospects.
  12. It's not hard to recruit to Nebraska. It's just hard to recruit and if you think it's a waste of time to work on big fish, you aren't a good recruiter. It IS was said it was hard to recruit to Nebraska. The conversion rates on big fish ARE were low - but good recruiters don't care, they ball out anyways. JMO. FIFY .... we haven't even gotten a commit from a big fish yet, much less a signature on a dotted line. Chill Most seem to think Keyshawn Johnson Jr. was a pretty big deal.
  13. All the talk has been that if he gets his grades up, and gets a qualifying ACT score, he'll get a scholly. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at a Juco if Nebraska wants to stash him for a couple years. PS, those ideas always sound great, but can anyone name the last time it actually worked out that way? (Meaning, we stashed him at a JUCO and then they eventually ended up at Nebraska) Who was the kid that Pelini put at Iowa Western with the intent of bringing him back? It happened during the transition, and Riley passed on him. In a business sense, it at least lets the program get a look at a kid against competition that is a higher level than Class A football in Nebraska. That would be Vondrae Tostenson.
  14. I didn't think Darlington was even an option given his history with concussions.
  15. Looks like the Primary polls were correct. Too bad Bernie didn't get the nomination.

  16. My only concern is that Riley had no relationship with Hughes prior to last season. Riley is BFF's with so many guys on his staff. I hope that he will make the necessary changes, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with the status quo for another year. The main gripe with Riley while he was at osu was that he kept Banker around for so long. Now that he's at Nebraska I just don't see that behavior changing.
  17. Yea. IMO the entire reason they did this was to bring mods for Skyrim to console players. Although I did hear the SE does have better FPS and runs better than regular Skyrim. The remastered audio is worse than the original edition.
  18. We learned that a team we almost beat (Wisconsin) and a team we beat (Northwestern) found a way to play competative against tOSU and for whatever reason we didn't.
  19. Can't say I blame him, no one in the Big 12 plays defense anymore.
  20. Come on....let us at least dream until reality hits.
