  1. I still don't undertsand how you guys sh#t the bed against ISU with so many turnovers, but if you had been just a little more consistent with the O, I'd agree with the top 5. It will be a travesty if you aren't top 10 in the final polls.
  2. Our O Line - even if it just performs the same as this year. Losing Colt & Shipley is tough, but we have so much young talent at the skill positions that I'm not too worried. We lose Lamarr Houston and Sergio Kindle on D, but I think guys will step up so overall performance on D will remain stout. If we lose Earl Thomas to the draft, that will really hurt. The secondary is really young and talented though.
  3. We also lose at least half our O line. I'm not sure if that's a positive or a negative right now. If the hype surrounding GG is at least 30% true, QB won't be our weak link. Should be a fun game in Lincoln.

  5. A&M got jobbed with the clock at the end of the half, but the way they played the second half of the game, it didn't really matter. I sympathize with those of you who equate this to the ripping off of a scab to let a wound fester some more. The pain seems so familiar. BTW, I am looking forward to your game tonight with 'zona. I hope the disappointment I see expressed in some threads here by Neb fans isn't shared by the team. I'd hate for this to be your equivalent of our 2003 Holiday Bowl vs. WSU.
  6. I think you guys have success running the ball on 'zona. It's not going to be that close. Neb. 24 Zona 13
  7. Another visitor stopping by to extend some respect here. Looking forward to seeing Nebraska [Dave Lapham]facerape[/Dave Lapham] 'zona tonight. You guys are going to murder them.
  8. Victim was from Sinton, TX. http://www.kiiitv.com/news/local/78728762.html http://www.jdnews.com/news/havelock-70591-dead-one.html
  9. The only Big12 teams that I would not root for in the given circumstances are in the Big12 South. Reading comprehension please.
  10. I would have been sorely pissed at seeing another chance at a NC game lost in a close game. However, I have nothing but respect for Nebraska and am happy to see them do well (when they aren't playing Texas). The only Big12 teams that I would not root for in the given circumstances are in the Big12 South.
  11. No, that's not what I'm saying. No argument from me there. We really missed having a real threat at tight end this year. The loss of Collins (replacement for Quan Cosby) also hurt big time. Kirkendoll and Williams have been as inconsistent this year as Collins/Cosby were reliable. Colt was also restricted in his running this year and that allowed defenses to focus more on other aspects of the offense. He played a few games while suffering from various illnesses and there is speculation that he played the 4th quarter of the CCG with a mild concussion. Which illustrates the point I was trying to make. Texas D held your O to ~1/3 of it's normal production. That's a credit to the Texas D. To highlight the point, bear in mind that your 282 yards/game average was built with games where your O was missing one piece or another. You had all the pieces available in the CCG. I'm not trying to rub salt in wounds here. I'm trying to point out that you played against the best D you have faced all year. If you don't give them any credit (and choose to blame your O for everything), you aren't being fair to your team.
  12. I'm curious. Is a muffed kickoff (no initial possession) different from fumbling a ball when possession was clearly established?
  13. I'm not comparing fan bases. Just noting that the cry for a boycott is the essense of Aggy. $.02
  14. I went back and checked the drive summary (from Yahoo!). 9 of your points came on field goals where your O gained a just single first down (moving 13 yards on that drive). Arguably, your O was legitimately responsible for only 3 of your 12 points.
  15. It's not a "dig". It's a truism - an axoim as old as time. They have the ultimate case of little man syndrome and proudly show their ass at every opportunity. Boycott is practically their school's rallying cry.
  16. Well, to be fair, the Texas O spotted you 6 points. Your first two field goals had nothing to do with your O.
  17. I for one am glad to see Nebraska re-emerging as a top tier team. The Big12 North has been seriously missing one for too long.
  18. "The Cornhuskers (9-4) had only 106 total yards, their lowest total in 25 years." http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recap?gid=200912050023 I undertsand that your O had its issues this year, but I don't think you are giving the Texas D much credit for stonewalling you in the CCG. No one else this year managed to do what Texas did - even when Helu & Burkhead were dinged up.
  19. I wasn't complaining about the officiating. Merely pointing out that officiating is never perfect and Texas has been on the receiving end of perceived injustice on the big stage too. Didn't Nebraska win a game this year thanks to Suh blocking a potential game winning field goal attempt at the end? Or was that Alabama with Mt. Cody? Sorry, honestly not remembering the details right now. In any event. Players still had opportunity to make a play.
  20. It's not an honest question. It's a butt hurt question. You are presuming that refs made the wrong call and you are wrong about that. To the point of your question, Crabtree made a great play to shed a tackle and make the TD, but if you watched that game and didn't see that Tech got away with murder holding the Texas D line all game (and injuring Brian Orakpo in the process), you are blinded by more than than just red tinted glasses. In any event, the season was defined by that one sledgehammer to the nads play which was the point of my comment.
  21. 1 second defined our season last year too. It sucks.
