  1. 45-60 ft is stretching it. you can move that router to wherever you have a stb at. so if you have a stb in the middle from where you have the router and pc just split it off of that stb.
  2. BeIng optimistic wont actually effect the team in a negative way. Theres alot to like going into 2014. Let last year be last year. Its not going to hurt anything to actually allow yourself to get excited for a big year. last year was suppose to be a big year too and look how that turned out. i'm really tired of the mantra wait til next year. Being optimistic with our coach is only setting yourself up to get down on the team because once again they fall right back in the hole. Why is it so bad to be cautious about Bo til we see it on the field? From what i have seen from Bo is it doesn't matter what kind of team is on the field we get the same results. that is a shame.
  3. Bo knows coachspeak. What Bo doesn't know is how to fix the problems on the field. I would wait until Bo actually can get us above the current threshold to start drinking the kool-aid. less of a letdown when things go bad and a bigger upside if he does turn things around.
  4. hate to tell you this but the optimizer i have experienced has led to an increase of slower speeds. does your computer see a lot of other networks? if so might want to change the radio channel. how often do you clear the history in the browser? if you can you might want to wire it temporarily to even see if you can get your fullspeeds. how far away are you from the router? is it on a different floor?
  5. I would go to speedtest.verizon.net and see what kind of speeds you are getting. If you are getting around 20 on download that is about average for wireless. only a couple of times i have seen someone getting the fullspeed on wireless.
  6. While i understand that why not pick a better school? If the ACC is willing to let them go and walk out the door easily maybe they know Marlyand doesn't add that much in terms of tv? The ACC is locked up in a $50 million lawsuit with Maryland. I don't know about you, but that hardly seems like "letting them go". no team is going to walk away without paying. What i meant by letting them go they really aren't trying to keep Maryland in the ACC. If Maryland turns out to be a big bust it will hurt us bad.
  7. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are decidedly more people demanding for the change than demanding that it not be changed. You may be correct in that a great number of people couldn't care less what the name is but I think their ignorance towards racial slurs could be enlightened if they took a few minutes and understood that it doesn't just refer to the perceived color of a Native American's skin color. Which in itself is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that it is demeaning. You don't hear it used that way anymore though. You don't hear people being called "Redskins" like you do with the N word. The only time I ever hear the word is when people are talking about a NFL football team, not another person. It will always have an inherent negative connotation but I don't think it carries the weight it once did when it was created, as it's not really used as a derogatory term anymore. I guess that's why it seems like its not as big of deal to me but I understand the other side of the argument. exactly. all the older people are making a big deal out of it and the younger people when they hear the term Redskins would refer it to the football team and not something negative. There is an article on espn which they site that in 2004 90% of Native Amercians weren't bothered by the name. That number will only go up. The easier way is just to redefine the word rather and make it something positive.
  8. unforutnately his chances weren't that good to begin with. If he is healthy, his speed alone will get him a look as special teams I would think! and that is a big if that he is healthy. If he doesn't recover from his freshman injury fully he loses quite a bit of speed. also he would have to have speed outside of running in a straight line. For KO returns in the NFL I would disagree here. The guys on special teams coverage are so big/strong/fast you don't really juke them out to be a good returner. NFL KO returns are more about straight speed and the odd chance of getting the correct crease set up. Punt returns is different. i have never seen a ko return where the guy didn't have to make moves at full speed, juke, make a move to take it to the endzone.

  11. don't get too excited about the change and positive effect it had on A&M. 1. they fired their coach and got a better coach. 2. Manziel redshirted the entire 2011 season while A&M was in the Big 12. A&M would've had the same success even if they had stayed in the Big 12 and possibly even better and it's reasonable to conclude that. they had all the pieces in place to be good it just so happens they switched conferences. Okay husker, what about Missouri? Missouri i could see getting a boost. Against it the only thing i see is that Pinkel does having losing seasons every now and then. But i do believe the switch did benefit Missouri more than A&M.
  12. yeah good luck with that. all tools are double-edged. great good or great evil. so are you saying only certain people should post? If some people don't like a certain poster they should decide whether or not he posts? what happened to just using the ignore function?

  14. Cuz we've shown zero capability in the past to overcome negative plays and starts to games....... i am talking about Bo getting pissy on the sidelines. How many times have we overcome negative plays and starts in a championship type environment? After you insinuate that we''ve not been capable, you then move the goalposts to "championship only" environments to support your point? And with that said, what did Bo do temper wise to shake the team up against Texas and Oklahoma? Now, I'm not totally disagreeing with you. God knows I think sometimes Bo's tendancy to be a rollercoaster of emotions definitely is reflected at times through the team's play, whether it be week to week, quarter to quarter, even play to play. But let's not act like it's so prevalent of an issue that it's the first and foremost pressing cause to our troubles, cuz it's not. well the reason why the goalposts were moved is because a lot of those teams we come back from we should have never been in the position of being down. not with the team we had.
  15. if that was true then the way offense and defense would suggest he's not playing the scheme that fits his players and puts them in the best position to win.
  16. While i understand that why not pick a better school? If the ACC is willing to let them go and walk out the door easily maybe they know Marlyand doesn't add that much in terms of tv? I dont know. Part of me is as frustrated about it as anyone, but they bring something to the table that maybe we just dont know about yet. I dont but Delaney must. There must be something there so we'll see how it plays out. i guess we will find out.

  18. Exactly. If half the things I said while playing Mario Kart were perceived as the way I honestly consistently feel about my family, friends, princess Peach, bananas, etc., people would probably think I was an angry jerk, but thankfully no one cares enough to record/leak that kind of thing. I'd rather no one passes judgement on me by my actions in my worst moment, so I ought not do it either. difference is he gets paid 3 million dollars a year and represent Nebraska. how much per year do you get paid playing Mario Kart? The fact that he is in a high-dollar, high-profile profession is why people notice and care. But it doesn't make his angry outburst any more of a reflection of his true character, IMO. maybe he doesn't handle adversity well. have you ever seen Bo mad outside a husker game? I don't think any of us have. hard to say we know his true character.

  20. While Bo is a pretty average head coach and has done some good things along with the bad and since he looks up to Pete Carroll maybe he should take a page out of his book and not worry about a play that goes bad and start gameplanning around it. show some poise and then his players will see that not everything gets to him and maybe the players will start stepping up more.

  22. difference is we are pretty decent at football, Maryland sucks at football and baseketball.
  23. we are saving a school rather than the school benefitting us. If Maryland was good in basketball like they use to be it would make it easier. Thanks to these guys and Rutgers we will be stuck in a division that nobody cares about like when we were in the Big 12 North.
  24. not quite foppa. Fans may think that but the people making the decisions don't. Texas was looking at the Pac-10 to move to while bringing along with them the whole south division. Just because Texas was toying with us doesn't mean we didn't take it seriously. better to be proactive than reactive in that kind of situation. As soon as Texas did that we started looking elsewhere to find a home that was more stable.
