  1. Probably still be Big 10 because of tradition and didn't change it when Penn St. was added. Which is good is Nebraska is suppose to be about tradition. lol. If not that maybe the Big North Conference??
  2. Most people dont care about basketball until March Madness starts. And since all conf. get bids KU should be OK from a Basketball stand point. Plus Kansas has a habit of choking in the Tourney. Yeah, "the tourney", the same one that we've won how many games in? I'm not talking about the conference tourney. other than 2 years ago when they won it they have a habit of getting a high seed and getting beaten by a very low seed.
  3. It's ok. I'm completely ready to be made the bad guy in this.... for a while. UT has single handedly borked up two major conferences. I don't expect the Pac 10 to deny UT what they want because if you look at it from the Pac 10's standpoint, they have their backs to a wall. However, they'll soon find out what everyone else who's been around Texas knows, they'll be sorry in about 6 years. USC won't be able to stand up to UT, they'll own that conference worse than they do the Big 12 right now, and the rest of the old Pac 10 will be screaming bloody murder. The biggest problem in this scenario is that the teams that you want to see Texas play, because they're spoilers who'll upset you now and again..... will ALL be in the North, and Texas will only have to worry about playing one of them in a championship game. Oregon, Oregon St, Washington (if they get it together), Cal can bite you in the butt, and USC and UCLA have the potential..... But UT will be allowed to dominate all the subservient chumps they've been jacking over for a century in addition to..... Arizona and Arizona St. As for being made out to be the bad guy, get ready for the UT spin machine. I'm not to worried though, it won't take long for the rest of cfb to see what UT does to a conference. Time is on our side. You can't be serious in saying that USC can't stand up to Texas. If Texas joins the Pac-10 they won't be able to do whatever they want cause 1. they are joining an established conference. The Big 12 was newly formed. Now if the Big 8 simply expanded we probably wouldn't have these problems with Texas. 2. USC backs down to no one and with them joining i don't see the now current members taking crap from newbies. Texas and OU are the only schools that matter to the Pac-10. Baylor, TT, Ok St, and A&M aren't significant in any way. So.. You're saying USC controls the PAC? Based on what? Their FB team being in the top 10 most of last decade? If you're just talking Football, there's a lot of apathy in the PAC. USC has been good in football longer than the last decade. I'm saying that Texas won't have as much power as they have now. They won't be able to go in and do whatever they want like in the Big 12. Pac-10 won't roll over like everyone for Texas like they were able to in the Big 12.
  4. Too late to save the Big 12. If Nebraska doesn't get invited to the Big 10, the MWC wouldn't be bad. Lately they have been pretty good. The MWC would be the end of Nebraska as we know it. Not necessarily, the Bowl committee is close to giving the MWC an auto-BCS bid and if they got former Big 12 schools might be quicker. The MWC isn't that bad of conference. Pitt and Alabama know it. Again, this is about much more that football. But even if just about football, it would kill NU. There will be at MOST 5 BCS-AQ conferences when the next agreement comes up, Big 10, ACC, SEC, PAC-10 and maybe the Big East. The Big 12 will be no more, and the Big East is questionable if they will stay relevant unless they scramble. Yes it is but football is the driving sport behind this. The Big East has been questionable ever since Miami and Virginia Tech left for the ACC. I bet you if the SEC expands with ACC Teams, the ACC will just go to the Big East to raid again. I doubt the Big East as far as football is concerned probably won't exist within 5 years.
  5. Big 10 better fit cultural wise, much better than the Big 12.

  10. ding ding. Ding Ding Ding! bull s h i t That showed no class, typical SEC crap. Then their dumba$$ fans chant S E C over and over again. Man, I hate that conference. McCoy plays and UT wins that game. Bzzzt Incorrect. How would McCoy have stopped there run game? How would McCoy have done any better against Bama than he did against us? Afterall, McCoy said himself that Bama's D was better than Nebraska's. bull s h i t That showed no class, typical SEC crap. Then their dumba$$ fans chant S E C over and over again. Man, I hate that conference. McCoy plays and UT wins that game. McCoy did play. He got knocked out of the game. texas fans didn't have any problems with OU when Sam Bradford got knocked out. What the hell does the OU game have to do with this?? My god, reach a little farther on this one pal. Fail again on this one, sorry. It has the SAME THING to do with it. Except ya know, the score was only a 3 point difference instead of 16. So Bradford had an even HIGHER POSSIBILITY of making a difference in the UT v OU game.. So good try on saying that has nothing to do with it, but don't ignore it in one situation and act like it's the end all in another. Wow, not really man. Bradford has no effect on this football game tonight, if you can't understand that then I can't help you. Nobody is talking about OU v UT or Texas fans, we are talking about this game tonight that involved Alabama and Texas. It was a reach because that argument is completely unrelated to this topic and what is being discussed. That is what is wrong with many arguments made on here, they lack coherence and substance. How would McCoy have helped their rush defense? Really? How about sustained drives that would have allowed their defense to rest. 3 and out after 3 and out tends to wear on a defense. What does a tired defense show? A lack of ability to stop the run. Since UT was the #1 rush defense in the country, it stands to reason that losing a credible offense would make them begin to suffer against a good rushing team. Also, if you can't see that Nebraska was a far superior defense to Alabama then I don't know what else to say. If a backup true freshman QB can put 21 on Alabama and a two time All-American puts up 13 on Nebraska I think you can see the difference. Furthermore, the ability to successfully sustain and finish drives would have put more pressure on the freshman QB for Alabama, because they would have had to throw the ball into the teeth of arguably the best secondary in the country. Texas has two all conference players in that secondary, one named Earl Thomas. You may have heard of him. Frankly, this was a terribly coached game on both sides. Classic example of two recruiters that aren't great at adjustments. That fake punt was a Callahan-esque call. I still don't see why UT didn't move their safety closer to the line and stop stunting on run plays. That is a recipe for disaster against a good pro-style running attack. Lastly, I would suggest that you learn a little more about football or at least show said knowledge before we start to call people out with blanket statements like above. Your right if Bradford didn't go out against Texas we wouldn't be talking about Texas in MNC cause they wouldn't have been in it. Also if McElroy didn't have broken ribs from Florida he would've played a lot better.

  12. Big 12 chumps also sounds nice. lol.

  15. If you can't stop it then you can't complain. He almost got showed up by a second string qb. I think he was atoning for screwing around in the 3rd quarter. There should've been no reason why texas managed to get within 3 pts of Alabama late in the game.
  16. Nope, not #2 in my book. Join a real conference or stop whining. What's a real conference? The Pac-10 where their 3 of the 4 good teams got blasted? The Big 12 where if it wasn't for Nebraska didn't fare very well(pre-NC), The Big East? I would bet you that the MWC is better than the Pac-10 and Big East. The Big Ten besides this bowl season does horrible? The ACC where there is no clear leader? So that only leaves the SEC....
  17. Except Hawai'i didn't lose their coach and playcaller before the bowl game. I wouldn't be surprised if Texas Tech loses tonight in the Alamo Bowl.
  18. Naw, drive it down their throat. If for no other reason, just to let them know how far from a real top 5 team they are. They are a joke, always have been a joke and it was up to UF to show how much of a joke they really were. So should have Miami run the score on us in 2001 to prove a point? I'm pretty sure they could've gotten to 50 easily.
  19. yeah i was kinda busy watching bowls all day. Now off to watch the Sugar Bowl.
  20. Not too bad. I don't understand why teams that don't wear traditionally white are wearing it now. First Arizona and now Cincinnati.
  21. I am ok. sounds like you aren't.
  22. Since when has Ohio State been known for piling on points? They played a low scoring game like they always plan to. You said that if the game was kept close it would bite them and it didn't.
  23. Hell no. At the end of the bowl season i want to hear how only Nebraska was the class of the Big 12 by winning their bowl game convincingly. The Big 12 can burn. I saw Tim Tebow cry now i want to see Colt McCoy cry. lol.
  24. Do you have some crow you can eat?
