  1. Oh and it wasn't just the north stadium....way up in the south stadium we had it rocking too. It was just a great effort by the team and fans! I was really glad that I could stand and yell most of the game without getting tugged on! Got to bring it again next week! GBR!
  2. It definently wasn't a Sea of Red yesterday. About 70% of the core student section wore black, and there were patches elsewhere across the stadium....Lots of ISU yellow in the crowd as well. But the "Sea of Red/Black/whatever else color" really turned up the noise when it counted. ISU couldnt execute anything in the second OT!
  3. lol, I am pretty sure I know what he is getting at.....KSU lined up to punt-and they were missing one guy.....it just happened to be the punter! The snapper doesnt even look back and he snaps it right through the end zone!
  4. Right on Stuck, the place was rockin tonite! Even up in the 80th row of the south stadium, it was awfully loud. That was the loudest I had ever heard it in Memorial during ISU's 2nd OT possession! Just an awesome game for the Huskers. This is the Huskers' best game under Callahan IMO. We definently need that kind of performance and more next week. GBR!
  5. Add the linebackers in there too, made a lot of plays out there today. Secondary, not so much applause for them. I would like to see some more pressure and attacking rather than "prevent the big one" all night...
  6. There is no way guaranteed win and this husker team should ever be mentioned together. In case you didn't see the ball game, or understand it for that matter, ISU showed a very soft defense, and was an overall overrated team. Once we dig into the Big 12 schedule deeper, teams will stop our passing and then what? 37 yards on the ground-that just wont get it done. Next week could be ugly, and I am not looking forward to Baylor in Waco-upset alert right there. KU, MU, and CU will all be extremely tough games, and we have yet to see how this team responds to adversity and a hostile environment. All I am saying, is that there will be a rocky road to come. Either way, GBR!
  7. Ganz is only #2 until the coaches feel comfortable with Beck. A few weeks down the road, Beck will be closer to Taylor, and will see time. Ganz will just be forgotten...
  8. Herbstreit put us in for upset alert on the college preview tonight on sportscenter....says that the offense could cost us the ball game. I just have a feeling tomorrow will be a good day though!
  9. With 4 tries from the 1 or 2 yard line, we better be able to score on the ground against anyone, and I will be pissed if BC tries anything else.
  10. It is just good to see one of them lose...I do like Larry Coker though, he is a respectable coach. We could have lost 70-0 in the 2001 Rose Bowl, but he was a classy guy.
  11. If you had paid attention to the game, my post wasnt too hard to pick up on. Between the 20's, Callahan would run the ball....then when we were threatening the end zone, he would try to pull out the passing game. Get it?
  12. They may not have been busy, but I atleast wanted to see Bowman and others on the field. Seems they won't be very busy this saturday either. You are right, Dilliard did play in the 4th-I had ducked out of the stadium to get a head start home and missed most of that quarter.
  13. I really wish I could believe this talk of us keeping our offensive playbook tucked away and BC playing a lot of guys to get experience...but we were just a team that couldnt execute and hold off turnovers. The talent is there, it just needs to take care of business-catching the football, holding onto the ball for our RB's, and executing blocks up front.
  14. Miami/FSU proved another point, as it seems to every year: The kicking game is crucial. Miami should have been ahead 13-10 instead of down 10-7, and that is before they screwed up the FG to tie it late in the 4th. Hopefully Congdon won't end up like Miami's kicker when the game gets close...
  15. IMO, we won't have any problems shutting WF down defensively. Stiff run defense and a much improved pass rush will keep them contained. It will just be a question of getting some points on the board. If we execute and hold on to the ball, there will be nothing to worry about(notice the if)...
  16. Not sure where this comment came from, but I bet he would have stayed anyways if he was still healthy, unless he has financial hardships-looked like he really enjoys being on campus and playing college ball. In general, I just have to question some of Callahan's decisions lately. From his depth chart, to play calling, and how he is handling players like Leon...Where was Bowman last saturday, and Dilliard didn't get any time either. We have already been over his play calling decisions. Now he seems unsure of whether he wants to even keep some of these kids handy for the year, or just redshirt.
  17. I think the obvious choice is Atlanta. The Sugar matches SEC and ACC teams up, and Atlanta is right in the middle of both conferences. The game would still have its Super Dome feel if it is moved to the Georgia Dome.
  18. Before the Husker games, we would usually hang out at a great pub named BC's....Well it is now Cristos, and had a god awful and loud band in there. We just wanted to watch some football and knock back some drinks, but couldn't stand that damn band in there. Does anyone know of any good places down in that downtown area south of the stadium on or near O Street to hang out and take in some football before the Husker game?
  19. Very nicely done...It starts with a prayer concerning the game ahead, and leads into highlights of the NU dynasty. The opponents helmet sits on our field and is then crushed by out championship trophies if I remember right. I will pay more attention next week, I was more just fired up about Husker Football being back and the game starting. The little tribute to Brook was very nice-Dane Todd won his award for giving back to the community. They also had the Husker Hall of Fame inductions before the game. Also, a very large crane held an American flag outside of the stadium to the north, which was also very cool.
  20. Is that game at the Big House or in South Bend? Mich didn't look too good at home I hear, so ND could really make that a game, and possibly win it!
  21. wow, you have to edit my message now just to try to find something to yap at me for. In case you didn't know, the BCS causes an uproar every year for its inaccurate computer polls that keep the 2 best teams from playing for the title. I can't believe you honestly would stand behind a computer poll, they know nothing and don't see any of the games. Going by numbers and ratings rather than by what you see on the field is just plain stupid. Hopefully you follow through with your adios and really do get off of this board!
  22. Nice of you to dedicate your whole life to trying to prove me wrong on a message board. If you could read and process properly, my comment referred to the talent the players seemed to posses coming out of high school, not how they turned out in the NFL. Youll learn, you'll learn....
  23. That game made me glad we scheduled Pitt and not ND...I am just waiting for the UM FSU game tonight, should be a good one!
  24. Where did you find that worthless poll? You would drag out a computer poll into this, they are the worst things to hit college football. That shows nothing until you look at schedules and performance. It really isn't that surprising that these Div 1-AA teams put up a fight, that is where all of the athletes that arent wanted in 1-A go.
