  1. I'm glad Mich and Rich are out of there. I was afraid they would sneak in and make some noise.
  2. Can't blame him. If he's not thinking NFL, a Stanford degree will open doors that a Nebraska degree will not. Also, from an enjoyment of college life perspective . . . Stanford blows Nebraska out of the water. SoCal weather, women, and beaches . . . or Nebraska. Easy choice. That said, if he's looking from a purely football standpoint, he'd do best by himself to come to Nebraska. 2 points to make on your point - 1) a Stanford undergrad degree isn't really the biggest thing in the world. Sure it looks good but the real reason Stanford is a good school is the grad program. 2) Standford is not like college at all. First it's near the bay area, not SoCal. Second, there is nothing to do at night and on the weekends for these kids. Going to Standford is not a "college experience" at all. Just saying your facts are a little off.... dont want to agrue about stanford too much because i hate that school BUT i lived in palo alto, menlo park and atherton for a total of five years... i went to many stanford ragers... they get nuts like any other school... plus there is TONS of stuff to do.. the city aka san fran is always got stuff... through in the east bay, san jose or santa cruz, tahoe, yosemite or whever and there is tons of stuff to do... i dont think there isn't a night out where you cant go somewhere and score chicks party and hAVE one mayjah rayjah..... but then again stanford sucks... did i ever tell you about the time i was soo drunk that i hit on chelsey clinton.......... Look Todd Peat is great and all, but I think we can afford a 2 second timeout and hear this story in full! Do it to it Irie, your fans are waiting.
  3. According to that service that seems to be a pretty decent crop of prospects from Neb this year.
  4. Talking about QBs we lost is depressing. What about Hundley? A highly touted dual-threat. That sounds promising with our system. If he's coming to the spring game, I'm sure he's somewhat interested. Spring Game cam make that somewhat interest level sky rocket into genuine top 5 interest.
  5. Thats old news EZ.. look up the thread... Just messing with ya buddy! Still awesome.
  6. That's what it's looking like. Is Fisher #2 right now or is the race for 2nd best in Neb wide open?
  7. Feels good to be back.

  8. Well bros and bras. I just went through one of the most difficult time periods in my life. We all know of the Christian Lent where you give something up for the Lord. It's great fun let me tell you. Most people will give up soda pop or chocolate or sometimes even sex. Well I just trumped all of them. This year I decided to give up playing my NCAA Football video games and posting and reading posts on Huskerboard.com. It was the most taxing and difficult thing I've ever had to do. I actually started to cheat and made it so I could only read and post on weekends or days off of work (which is very few weekdays). Basically what had started to happen is I was devoting so much time to the board reading every post I could get my hands on that I would be here for a few hours a day. It was really bad around signing day and Ewa Watch (I refuse to spell his name correctly now). I even started to get in trouble at work when I would give my students extra free time so I could come check out the board and see what was going on. Needless to say this board and all the cool peeps on it become a big part of my life. So I had to take a step back during the past couple of months and watch recruiting news pass me by. Only being able to look at the one or two rivals teasers and reading huskermax did not quench my Husker thirst. The reason I post this here in the recruiting forum is this is where the majority of my time is spent and I'm familiar with a lot of the personalities around here. Basically the point is this. Easter is over! Jesus rose! Huskerboard is back! And I'm ready to get all caught up again! It's been a good reunion too with Klatchko committing (How bout that Line! It's looking suave already!) It's great to see everyone again and happy posting friends! P.S. I'm not even Catholic, I'm Methodist! I just got guilted by some of my friends for not participating...
  9. He doesn't like the cold. I don't like when recruits use that as a big determining factor.
  10. AND...isn't he confirmed to go to the spring game? That is probably the best off-season recruiting tool anyone can use. When he sees how hyped up we all get over a glorified scrimmage, he won't be able to resist taking in a game. That's when we pounce!
  11. Thanks for sharing that. That evaluation was awesome.
  12. Cash and him are buds?
  13. He deals fumbles and has the name CASH! Lock him up.
  14. From the guys I know of on this list. I would be extremely happy. I dig it!
  15. Well the things that it would take for him to change his commitment did. It sucks for Illi, but I give Coop props for waiting so long to see what would happen to the fightins before making the switch. He handled the process very well. Glad to have you Coop!
  16. Suntrup update on Rivals. Anyone fill us in?
  17. The O-Line is looking solid!
  18. There are a few examples I can think of: - Julius Peppers played in the Final Four for North Carolina. He quit his senior year to focus on football, but was an important part of one of the best teams in the country for a couple of years. - Charlie Ward did the same thing, won the MNC, and then ended up in the NBA. I guess the question will be if he actually has the talent (and desire) to do it. For the best athletes it is certainly possible. yeah, but neither of those examples played on the offensive line. julius peppers is a pass rusher and ward was a QB, not some freakin huge O-line guy Exactly! The way college o-linemen have to fill out their frames and get so big to clog up the line would make it really tough to play college hoops. An offensive tackle in football morphing into a big banger forward in basketball would be super tough. He would have to put one of these sports on the backburner. What's he better at? Anybody know? PPG in basketball would suffice.
  19. Wow I feel like a lot of RB's have early man-crushes on NU.
  20. Anybody see Blair play this year?
  21. I agree. Especially after reading this article from an Arizona newspaper... Westerman Loves Texas I agree he'll probably be at Texas, but remember... He'll say something almost identical when he visits Nebraska, Alabama, etc. I think recruits have a website they pull templated statements from. "Love the coaches, great family atmosphere, awesome stadium, spectacular facilities, liked a lot of the current players, give it a 10, etc, etc, etc" There is a list of about 100, and they just check 4 or 5 of them off and the website generates the statement for them. My favorite: "It's dead even." (or some variation) - Then they go to UCLA. That wound is still fresh...
  22. The word that I heard was that he was going to red shirt his first semester at Fort Scott and then come to Lincoln for 2nd semester. that is why I said he will have four years left to play. Someone gave you -1 on every single post on this thread EZ. I'll even you up but you got a hater out there somewhere dude. I'll +1 u on that last post in advance of whoever is going to take you down again. Ridiculous.
