Yeah they've been more than abismal. But actually I think Jake Tapper (spelling) has been the most credible person at CNN and ironically one of the newest additons. Fox has been pretty stand out actually, except for the old guard of Hannity and the like.

Reddit was crazy they've had that thread going for a couple hours now. Started with somebody hearing something about bombing suspects address on the scanner. Which to me makes no sense.

Police are shutting down cell phone service in the area for fear of unexploded devices. CNN is now reporting it.

I would think they could trace it to a vendor, and then do a lot of hard work from there to see if they could dig anything up. they tried that one 'the wire'. it worked, but it was a challenge. Ah the inevitable tv reference. I kind of got a kick out of hearing Napolitono say this isn't an episode of NCIS sometimes we have to take our time.

I assumed you had already seen that, they're pretty much on top of things over there. One thing that occurred to me is I hope these idiots were dumb enough to have cellphones on them at the time and leave them on. It would take the FBI awhile but they could eventually track them down that way. They may only end up with a pay as you go phone from a retailer, but maybe they could get a few more images of these guys and some other details could turn up as well. Better yet if that was the remote for the bomb, pretty easy to trace the exact call at the time the bomb went off. I'm sure they would have already done that had it been a cellphone trigger though.

If you pause the official FBI video at 6 seconds you can see a little better that it's likely a 3 and at 28 seconds you can see that it is in fact a 3. If they had a shot from the left you could see if #2 had a mole on his cheek and if he could really be that Sunil kid or not.

I noticed the nose as well, but didn't want to be labelled a racist for pointing that out. He looks like he's of middle-eastern descent to me, but the pictures aren't the greatest. Hopefully they're good enough though. There are some people claiming that the FBI has higher resolution pics/vids that they aren't releasing to the public. That doesn't make sense to me though. That makes zero sense, if they had clear HD pictures of these guys someone would id them within 48 hours for sure.

If they were able to sneak a bomb into a large sporting event it would likely be a similar result to the marathon bombing or even less catastrophic. Any more if you have a bag at an event it's getting searched and if you have a large coat you're probably going to be asked to take it off, be patted down, or both. So the odds of actually getting past security are pretty small, but if they did it would be more than likely be a much smaller device. And sparing the gory details let's just say that a smaller bomb in an open area wouldn't be as powerful as one in a corridor like the streets of a city.
