I never did like the way this happened. Bussey announced it for him and kind of stole his moment IMO. Tells me Bussey was really pushing him. Word is his team has a rule to not commit on the visit, and once your committed you can't take any other visits. His coach is in New York and won't be back til Wednesday. He's going to talk it over with his coach and then announce Wednesday. Weird situation, but sounds like we are still lead for his commitment.

You can over sign if you think a 4th year junior is going to graduate and move on because they never made it, or a guy like Bondi get beat out and decides to go kick for a small school his last year, or if you know someone is going to transfer, and you can plan for atleast one guy getting kicked off a year for being a dumbass. We are not good at accounting for this. The difference is we will hold on to guys like Jay Guy and those types that never pan out and give them their 4 years to get a degree before we kick them to the curb. Alabama will cut you loose as soon as it becomes obvious your not going to cut it. That's the difference here, Bo does it the right way. It's not win at all cost, with him. He gives you the best opportunity to get your degree, even if you don't pan out, as long as you practice hard and keep out of trouble that is.

It's sad recruiting has sped up so much that kids like this consider an offer during their senior season season as late. He could grow 2-3 inches in the next 8 months before signing day and be a hot commodity. Wisconsin and K State also passed on him, so I'm comfortable the coaches didn't miss on him. He could also be 6' 4" in two years you just never know. Kids mature at a different rate and it's hard to hold a grudge against coach or school because they didn't offer you when you were a junior. Remember that's how we've gotten some of our best talent. Look at the roster and a lot of the guys playing were late offers.

I think you guys are taking the comment out of context. He's not saying they are obsolete as a position. The TE position is changing. Guys like Gronkowski and Graham are splitting out wide lining up as H backs, they are evolving and I think he means they are obsolete in a sense of how they are typocally thought of.

He's a perfect fit for our offense and he knows it. Perfect compliment to Adam Taylor as well IMO. Going to fun to watch in a few years.

Visited Ole Miss. Apparently the scholarship papers he signed are non binding. 247s reporting he visited at the request of his mother. Let's hope they didn't pay him and his mom enough to change his mind.

We're looking to round out our class with a tackle so they are out of luck unless we lose a guard, or something changes. Garission's telling the 2016 guys were taking 6 next year, just a bad year to be a senior. We got the best lineman in the state, no question.

Woodhead was a Callahan era recruit. No reason to take a kid just because he's from Nebraska. Same people would be complaining about the lack of talent on the team during the season if we took more borderline NE kids. We need top talent to compete on a national level, and we're getting there....slowly
