  1. If we’re gonna throw 2/3 times on a drive…gonna be a long day.
  2. I’m a CU grad. I’m not embarrassed because I’ve lived this for 40 years. It’s expected. Just win. Most of the students will be puking in trash cans and passing out in bathroom stalls by halftime anyways.
  3. Overall, the team looks tougher up front and smarter overall. Sims doesn't look like much of a thrower, and some of the shots he took in the run game could shorten his season at some point. I thought coaching at the end of the half was pretty bad. Rushing up to the line to quick snap...you could see a procedure penalty coming a mile away. At that point, with no timeouts...should have kicked it. I felt a pick or a sack was a real possibility and lo and behold.
  4. Our only TD came off ‘razzle dazzle’
  5. Klay was always my favorite warrior. Steph is other worldly, but prime Klay was a 2-way star with a picture perfect stroke. Plus he hates devin Booker and the suns with a passion. Which I respect
  6. Feeling pretty good about my Nuggets. Bruce is a big loss. Not losing sleep about Jeff Green being gone. Expect Watson and Braun to be settling in their roles by midseason.
  7. I expect Golden State to be factor again this season. Chris Paul's act seems to wear thin after awhile, but he always seems to give his new team an initial jolt in the first season. I realize we're talking about a 38 year old CP3 at this point, so maybe not quite the impact he's had historically. Poole being gone I think is addition by subtraction. His ego, and the contract that was fueling it, was ruffling feathers. I think it will be a combination of teamwide health and whether Wiggins can displace Klay as the 2nd best scorer on the team that will determine how far they go. I'll add another caveat....Klay needs to settle in as a third option and play within himself.
  8. Players union will eventually get restless I think. Sure the stars are getting more money, but most of the NBA are average-good veterans, who are now competing with rookies on vet-min deals
  9. I think for me whether it was talent evaluation or development...I wouldn't know the difference from where I'm sitting. Nebraska hasn't had a 1st round pick in a dozen years, so I would guess that's a result of mismanagement across the board. Benhart is a perfect example. Watching him, I can't tell if he's been poorly trained, poorly coached, or was overvalued as a talent.
  10. Why do you believe it was good talent?
  11. Really curious on how this plays out. I don't think a lot of teams believe a 33 yr old Dame is the centerpiece of a championship roster. The one team he seems to want to play for has a smart front office that will make the sound basketball decision. I feel like he'll end up in Philly, when the Sixers finally decide to trade Maxey...because that's the kind of stuff that FO does.
  12. Guess we get to enjoy more Stephen A. amirite?
  13. I'm not sure what my expectations are yet. Once I know how much vomiting has taken place during conditioning drills, I'll announce my criteria.
  14. Not saying they'll be closer to 40th or anything. Last year we had 28 commits, and this year it sounds like we'll be closer to 25. Avg rating puts us around 33rd on 247 composite. Other teams' classes will dilute some as they fill out, but I'd bet on us being around 28th-30th. Others on this board follow recruiting a lot more closely than I do, but I have definitely wasted many a summer day checking team rankings on Rivals/247 the past 25 years, FWIW.
  15. I don’t think this class ends up top 25. Not complaining though. He’s a proven coach with a plan.
  16. I have 824 pages of evidence to the contrary.
  17. I believe he was due $15 mill if he got waived. I think the Suns needed to guarantee the remainder so they could make the salaries work in the trade. In any case, Wizards are looking for long term flexibility, and now they have it. They could hold onto him (cause what difference does it make if you're in a full rebuild?) or if they think they could get anything valuable...bring another team into the Beal trade. I think they'll buy him out, and the question will be which LA team picks him up at that point.
  18. My wife wants masks back in planes, because now when she falls asleep everyone can see her drool all over herself.
  19. In fairness, Wizards wanted flexibility. CP3 is an expiring that they're buying out most likely, while Beal has like 4-5 years left.
  20. Suns fans are convinced that quality vets are lining up in droves to sign minimum contracts to chase a ring. I have a feeling they’re going to be disappointed.
