  1. Where do you guys find this stuff?
  2. Chase Rome. I've heard his dad is an ex-mma fighter. Those guys are nuts. My friend's dad who runs an mma gym used to surprise tackle him from behind walls and stuff like that. Those guys are a lot of fun to play with.
  3. They should've brought back the style of jersey the players wore in the 90's that were cut off at the edge of the shoulder pads. I bet the players would've loved it. I remember in high school we'd do that every couple of weeks during a practice. It was a lot of fun. I felt like a stud wearing my jersey like the 90's skers.
  4. Ha, the 06' bears remind me of the 09 skers, a hell of a D with Rex Grossman at the helm.
  5. I don't know why you got -11. Sheesh! I agree with you in some ways, but at the same time, it's kind of a tough decision. Transferring pretty much kills you because you have to sit out a year. You want to make sure you pick the right school. It does bother me a little bit though.
  6. I got some hellacious butt-whoopings. You can't swat a kid on the buns today without getting CSS called on you. It's ridiculous. I don't know. I'm pretty young, but I remember one time was I was somewhere around 6, my mom bent me over her knee, pulled down my pants in church, and gave me some pretty solid swats on the butt. No one said anything. I think that still goes on in some places.
  7. Country- All songs by Rascal Flatts, Kieth Urban, etc. Classic Rock-Most of the Billy Joel songs, hard to think of many others, but I'll try.
  8. My thoughts too...It always made me wonder why we went for this Chase. I thought we were pretty stacked at TE and it just seems strange to bring in a JUCO...something tells me Bo is up to something here. We've got a lot of guys at DE, and still went after Owa. Sometimes, you go after guys who are talented enough to merit it regardless of need. Is Chase 4-for-3? You bring in a JUCO when you have an immediate need in that position usually though. Not sure...let me see what I can find on how long we get him. Edit- he is a 3/3 looks like Zoogies...I like those deals personally, so not bad. I always liked Harper's size...he should be good. Harper out of the Wildcat
  9. Dont like country.. which makes my internship at froggy kind of weird..ahhaha You work at froggy. You should tell them to stop playing so much pop-country like that "looking out my window" song. I think they'd get more listeners. I know me and my friends always talk about how much we much we hate that...pretty cool you work there though.
  10. ankrah will need to be all that and a bag of chips to beat out either allen or meredith (barring injury, of course). both played at a high level this season. would love to ankrah take over #3 in the rotation though. i know. I don't expect him to start for Allen, but I read somewhere that he took snaps with the first team defense all year last year, and that the coaches debated a lot about taking his redshirt off (Don't know where it was). I think him and Meredith could be in a battle for that spot.
  11. Still good news to me. I think Ankrah is going to be starting next year.
  12. I don't know. Without Tebow will pry get to watch Purdue-Northwestern on ESPN and ESPN2 at the same time next year.
  13. Me too. He's always been my favorite.
  14. If you don't mean just football, my cousin was on the men's gymnastics team a couple years back.
  15. Bad? Huh. You're the only person I've heard call Nebraska's class bad. It's not flashy in a 20 four star WR sense . . . but bad?? I don't know how to respond to that. Should've clarified that better. I think it's a great class for us, pry one of the top 10 jobs this year in terms of needs. I voted on another forum that the staff deserved A's for effort and quality. I'm just saying, if I were an analyst who hadn't watched every game and thought about the team all the time, I pry would say it was a let down because it's not a flashy class like a lot of people expected us to get. The fact you got the bunny w/ the pancake on it's head, that's not good. Think we should reference the recruiting vs game planning thread... Okay, okay, but to reference you "These so called "talent evaluators" like Senor Douchebag Griffin, are no better than your local weatherman. He's trying to tell you what kinda storm is happening on the pacific coast, before it gets to Lincoln...(walksalone)" That's how I feel, they're worthless most of the time. With that said, I'm not surprised Griffin wrote what he did. It is funny though that we're the only team he didn't have only praise for.

  17. Yeah, but I've got to admit, from the outside looking in it's a pretty bad recruiting class. I think it's great, and I have total confidence in the Pelinis. I think we're going to see so much wildcat and 2-3 rb sets out of the skers next year that our wrs aren't going to matter nearly as much as how many Burkheads and Heards we have in the backfield and split out.
  18. Yep. And in my anecdotal experience running into him at a sandwich shop some random Sunday, he took time to shake my hand, say hi to my wife and daughter and be pleasant overall. My very brief experience with the guy has been positive, and on the field I never thought he was half so bad as his worst critics said. He has some polish to put on his game, but I'm thinking he has as good of a chance to do that as anyone. We tend to be too harsh on our young QBs.....remember what we did to Frost? Lee is a good kid, and a good young player. I hope he comes back from this injury next year and lights things on fire. I do too. I'll say this for the guy, we never saw him complain or anything when he was benched for Green. I remember a couple of huge hits he took running the ball, knocked his helmet off, and he got up with a huge grin on his face. I like his attitude. Honestly, I don't wanna make excuses for him, I remember how good he looked in non-conference play. I know that was against sun-belt teams, but it's not like he needed to make way harder throws, or faces way different coverages. I think it could be that his arm had been bothering him since basically the beginning of the season, and that's why we saw such a huge drop in his play.
  19. I've gotta say game planning here. I mean seriously, two years ago we'd go into a game and the combined score would be 120. Sure our offense hit some hard times this year, but we still managed to get more than a 5-7 record. Hey, it might be a while before we get back to winning every game, but at least we're not letting Tech put up 70 a game. That just tore me apart. Even with an offense that didn't shoot out the scoreboard every game we managed 9 regular season wins. I will say though that Bo's defense was mostly recruited by Cosgrove. He could recruit em', just couldn't coach em'. It'll be interesting to see where our teams at after 5 or so years.
  20. I'm thinking pry everyone in the '10 class but Heard, the two jucos, Rome, and one of the safety recruits. Heard'll pry get thrown into a 5 back mix type of thing.
