U've sucked me in. Wow can't wait till NSD and whatever comes afterwards.

The meeting happened ppl are just unsure on what was said someone on here said there will be 2 coaching changes, but we have no way of knowing if this is true, and nobody has any real info.

O.k. in all honesty here, is something really going on here today, or was something said that got blown up/misinterpreted and nothing is happening? No middle ground one or the other.

Because the Canes got another :star :star DE, maybe he becomes a little less interested in going there. Don't forget they got Anthony Chickillo and Ricardo Williams as well. I fully believe he's not going to visit Auburn and will be signing on NSD.

He's going to visit Auburn, he did say however that he's still committed to us, tho IMO that means no reason to visit Auburn if ur fully committed somewhere else, nonetheless we will be sending Beck down to visit him again this week.

EZ u bring up a very interesting point I've seen discussed on other boards and I agree with. I HOPE that it is because of potential staff shake ups and not lack of effort or not making recruiting a huge priority. Frankie Williams should have been a December visitor and not a January one. Again, I am going to give our staff the benefit of the doubt on this one, but it is time for recruiting to be a 24 hour 365 day a year job. Kids don't come here just because "We are Nebraska" anymore. Times have changed. Not saying we are no longer a high profile program, because we are. But Brion Carnes almost went to WKU last year because of his relationship with a coach. Extremely well said u nailed it right on the head.

He gave the visit an 8, the weather didn't help.

He talked with Beck and they still want to try to get him to visit next weekend, we haven't given up on him quite yet.

Good move on his part we basically quit talking with him after his visit, probably worked out better for him and for us.

The second bolded part is speculation. How do we know that's true? How can you quantify "best coach?" I just didn't really think of any other coaches out there that had Nebraska ties that were at coaching levels like they are, whether they played here or coached here for a decent period of time. It really wasn't built on speculation that Frost would come here just a guy that a lot of ppl on here would like to see coach here, not saying he will just we wouldn't mind him on the staff.

I would just like to point out this thread wasn't built on speculation, but rather it was built on a coach who some would to see brought into the program b/c we think he could be a very good coach, probably outside Turner Gill the best coach out there now with Nebraska ties and some say one of the best up and coming coaches.

And he wants to make a decision this week so before the weekend or over the weekend sometime, what's your guess?

I'm just saying I could see our coaching staff putting their eggs in the Carter basket then missing on him if his offer from a southern school comes up and by then Lake is gone, I'm pretty sure Bo wanted him to wait and go through the process like he does with most of his recruits just make sure they know, and now that we've become so into Carter we may miss on Lake JMO.

Didn't this kid want to commit to us back in October? Maybe the coaches are waiting out Joseph Carter who now says he's waiting until signing day to make his decision, which means he's waiting for a South Carolina offer, but if we wait too long on Lake this kid could be gone if we don't make the decsion just to jump on board with him and then bring in Carter as well.

He's the the #9 all-purpose back but they moved him to athelete under his profile so it shows him as the #9 rank but it's still for all-purpose back.

Anyone know any good books or reading on the Civil War, we're discussing it in class, but I've always been very interested in it and wanted to learn more about it and become a mini Civil War buff.

And that really says something about how bad it was last year, I'm hoping we've seen our last big snow storm.
