  1. I appreciate reaching out @BigRedN. I think Thomas is in a position where he doesn't have to make a decision any time soon. Almost every school in the country will take his commitment now or right before signing day. For his own personal sake, thats the best decision right now, and I am sure his family wants him to see everything because he has so many options. However, if restrictions do not get lifted in the near future, relationships might prevail since visit time will be tough sledding, and I believe Scott has done a great job with that. Nebraska is for sure one of the leaders for him. With such a small window for visits being likely, many teams might back off from recruiting him if they get intel that he is leaning Nebraska or staying close to home. Obviously, I know nothing about his decision, and I could be wrong. As far as Bollers, he is not coming to Nebraska, and it has mostly to do with reputation and record. Now that the momentum from UCF is gone, Nebraska has to win and develop marquee positions to get these guys. I keep pointing out a guy like Caleb Tannor. He has to break out, and he shows flashes. I am telling you guys, he has NFL written all over him, and he can be special. Nebraska cannot waste him. I have been pretty outspoken about WR development as well, and look whats happening with Keagen. Nebraska is in a put up or shut up position with recruits right now. Jumps have to be made, and I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska starts looking to flip players a few months from now.
  2. Hyperbole is overdone, but this feels personal. Scott is probably being held back as we speak. He has to be fuming.
  3. This sport is hard, and I want to avoid being a reductionist as much as possible. That said, if Nebraska just hits on the majority of their upper echelon recruits to go along with their above average development of lower ranked guys, then they will be just fine. Guys like Caleb Tannor or Zavier Betts cannot be busts or needing three years to play well. I'm thinking of a guy like Jackson Hannah. He needs to start showing flashes now. I know some of you will scoff at that, but I am telling you if you want to compete, Nebraska cannot live by the three year development rule in this day and age. They actually recruit too well to play that angle. A decent chunk of guys need to hit by their freshman year or Rfr year. The Demayrion Houston and Jamie Nance situations cannot happen again. Their lack of development was pretty bad, and their inability to get in for 4 games is inexcusable.
  4. Long legs for a guy shorter than 6ft. You like that because that it usually leads to a player being able to play bigger than they really are. He has really good speed, and has some nice twitch to him. His stop and go is pretty damn good, and you see that in the first clip.
  5. Ian is a really good outside linebacker prospect. You can tell that he has grown into this position from the secondary. At Nebraska, his position will be dependent on how well he can cover and clog up passing lanes. He can do all that. And yes he can get after the QB.
  6. Okay, so Chauncey's tape is very intriguing. His 3 strengths are his route running, footwork, and ball skills. He is very polished for a WR with this rating. He has good enough speed to be lethal with those strengths. Those little things tell me a lot. He is well coached and takes well to it. I really like him.
  7. Easily my favorite player to watch in this class. He has the same build and style of Maurice Washington, but with a little more speed. He will blow up.
  8. Selfishly, I have made comments about young guys needing to develop faster here. Skill guys at Nebraska should only need a year at most to get on the field. Well, the young guys will have no choice but to grow up fast and play. I am kind of excited about it, despite knowing how big of a loss this is. Feels good to be back on the board. Why all the ads tho?
  9. Okay Okay, but look, he was overhyped. I think the staff wanted something more and he revealed quickly that he couldn't do it during the game. I don't know how they learned that so late but it became obvious.
  10. His short time at Nebraska and the lack of interest after.
  11. I agree lol I didn't say anything to the contrary.
  12. Mav, we know not to use small sample sizes as an indicator of ability.
  13. The one aspect that really made me not believe it was the AHC title. That's a title a HC gives his right hand man. Or someone who has busted his a$$ for the program. Held would be the kind of guy to receive that title. You don't just give that to an outsider. If the report would have said WR coach and Passing Game Coordinator then I wouldn't be so abrasive, but something seemed off.
  14. You don't think these dudes are petty? Lol Losing all these pieces will make anyone feel insecure about the future.
  15. He was never offered that job or title. This one reeked of BS from the get go. LSU PR stunt. I don't buy any of it Zieb!
