  1. I agree. I think it's been blown a little bit out of proportion but I think it was a mistake to take the words out. I wouldn't have put them in, in the first place but once they're already in there they should have left them in.
  2. I'm hoping for no more close losses where we self-destruct on ourselves.
  3. I posted that, and I disagree vehemently with your assessment. That game was never in question, even when Texas scored first. Alabama's D was every bit as stout as Nebraska's - they just had an offense that could move the ball. All due respect to Texas' defense, which was pretty good, Texas was not legitimately in that game after the first quarter. It's sad that McCoy got hurt so we'll never know, but everything about that game was domination by Alabama. The final score and yardage don't reflect it, maybe, but again - the outcome of that game was not in doubt. I think the game was in question when Texas had the ball and were down by 3 with 3 minutes left in the 4th.
  4. I agree. That's why I'm hoping we just go with Lee since he's the most proven QB out of the bunch and that way we have less of a risk of us have to swap QB's mid-season. We have a pretty good team this year and I don't want to blow our season trying to figure out if Green or Martinez could work.
  5. How has us joining the Big Ten affected your respect for the Big 12?
  6. Seemed like the better team? Remember OU lost head to head to Texas on a neutral field? OU was a great team that year, but Texas proved on the field it was better. and about the :01, it was done for you guys in the same situation in 94. Things like that have a way of going around, sometimes your team is the one catching the break, next time your team has the breaks going against you. In both the 94 Orange Bowl and the 09 CCG it was the correct call. Texas probably was more deserving but personally I think OU was the better team. The better team doesn't always win. I agree that it was the correct call I just have a funny feeling that they wouldn't have done the same thing for us. What happens in 1994 and 2009 are two different stories.
  7. Careful on that emoticon: Mack Brown said today So its OK to beat up some one doing the horns down according to Brown Stay classy Texas Ya I saw that too. I started laughing at that comment Mack Brown is such a classy guy
  8. He's a man! He's 42!
  9. The only problem I had with them putting a second back on the clock is that I have a funny feeling that they wouldn't have done that if Nebraska was in the same situation but that might be me being a little naive. I feel bad for you guys about 08 but I don't think you got too robbed since it seemed like OU was the better team.
  10. A&M's was 5th in Offensive Yards per game, 14th in passing and 30th in Rushing, they were 19th in scoring per game. Their defense was suspect, but they rushed the passer really well. Add in the fact they usually play well at home. Common Opponents Texas Tech, Iowa State, Baylor, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Colorado, Texas Texas A&M Points Scored- 222 Points Allowed- 244 Nebraska Points Scored- 116 Points Allowed- 89 A&M has an explosive, balanced offense, but struggled on D Nebraska has a lock down defense, but was awful on offense. If we can manage to get rolled at home by Texas Tech and lose to Iowa State, it isn't too much of a stretch to see us potentially losing to Texas A&M. Yeah they should be pretty challenging. They were kind of up and down last year so it will be interesting to see how they do this year. I thought Texas Tech was going to beat them by like 100 after KSU got beat 66-14 by Tech and then KSU beat A&M 62-14 but A&M actually beat Tech 52-30.
  11. No way! We hope they come in undefeated and take a loss to us which unravels their whole season and they lose 2-3 more games after us. We want UT to be unblemished. We'll just have to disagree. If UT beats OU, then there is a good chance we'll play them again in Dallas. I'm not keen on that idea. I'd much rather play OU for the title instead. Jerry Jones gives first dibs on CCG-tickets to cowboy-fans so if the horns win the south it is essentially a homegame. Plus we are talking about our last game in the 12 with a crew I'd about guarantee will be Texans. I'd rather play OU. Yeah. If we beat Texas in Lincoln I would much rather play OU for the Big 12 championship. I think it wouldn't be as much of a home field advantage game for them and it would also be nice to leave the Big 12 with a bang by beating our old rival.
  12. Yeah I agree. They were 8-5 and won a bowl game last year and with it being our second game and with our first being a total cream-puff, it could be a little challenging. Especially if we are looking ahead to the Washington game.
  13. Doesn't mean much but definitely not a good sign for Texas.
  14. I tried to read through it but got bored. I don't know why we should really care about what he has to say. If we beat Texas next game I doubt he'll care to hear what we have to say.
  15. I'm a lot more concerned about linebacker than I am about safety. We have a pretty experienced group of guys at safety that all have received a lot of playing time so although it might not be as good as last years group it's not much of a concern for me.
  16. I heard he recently ran a 4.19 forty.
  17. I like the predictions Here's a few of mine: 1. Burkhead has more rushing yards than Helu next season. 2. We pass for more than 3000 yards next season. 3. We win the Big 12. 4. Henery kicks a field goal of 57 yards or longer. 5. Amukamara is a top 10 pick in the draft.
  18. Yeah I'm kind of crossing my fingers and hoping none of these violations go our way.
  19. I think the major question mark is at QB. If Lee plays above expectations we could be a national title contender, if he's injured or plays below expectations we could do a little worse then what we did last year.
  20. According to Sipple we won't be playing South Carolina.
  21. Wow seriously? I think I should become a sports writer because I know I can write better stuff then this...
  22. I see it being a tough game because it's our first real test of the season and I think that Washington could actually be pretty good next season. Also if our QB situation isn't clear by then and Lee still isn't healthy yet I think we could be in some real trouble.
  23. I'm just curious what to expect from our schedule so I thought ranking our games might help. Here's my rankings: 1. Texas 2. @Texas A&M 3. @Washington 4. Missouri 5. @Oklahoma State 6. @Kansas State 7. @Iowa State 8. Colorado 9. Kansas 10. Idaho 11. South Dakota State 12. Western Kentucky
  24. It is a press release from TTU promoting their new additions to their stadium. Supposedly, it is from the architecture firm. All that said...still don't get the lone Jayhawk. Uhh wow, I guess. That architecture firm did terrible job with that picture. So why did they put USC/Nebraska players in their. Did I mention the security guard from Memorial Stadium is in their also. Yeah I agree. Did they really think that no one would notice that it was Nebraska fans in the photo?
