  1. This is a great point. But, I would love for us to one year beat the SEC schools and this I feel would get that annual monkey off our backs.
  2. This is quickly looking like a great basketball conference and not much of a football conference.
  3. I now what you mean, but schools are not that loyal to their coaches either. Fans and administration turn on them if they slip in winning...even just a little.
  4. Since you now have been in for 2-years in the B1G. How do you feel that a lot of match-ups for the B1G will be against several SEC schools in the Bowls games? Is there a big difference between bowls match-ups from when you were in the Big XII? Additionally, I love reading the posts from everyone on here...it is like you have always been a member of the B1G. Most of the posters are very knowledgeable about the conference and the teams and are forming new rivalries. The addition of Nebraska, was just something that I will never forget.
  5. While, I am not as harsh on Maryland, I do feel it sucks that Ohio State and Nebraska won't play in regular season for awhile, unless it is in the conference championship game.
  6. If this happens...could be good for the B1G. http://www.coachingsearch.com/coaching-search-ticker.html
  7. I wonder who Wisconsin will go after now?
  8. I have always had a problem with punishing the players and team in future years. For example, Penn State. What happened is the most disgusting act known to mankind, but those involved have been dealt with and anyone now associated with the program has to pay for those douches. How is this far to those that are there now?
  9. The latest on the B1G and SEC Expansion. Virginia targeted by the Big Ten. http://virginia.247s...-Big-Ten-103368 North Carolina to the Big Ten??? http://www.startribu...91.html?refer=y Virginia Tech to SEC??? http://virginiatech....t-VT-SEC-103552
  10. http://espn.go.com/college-football/bowls/projections?season=2012&week=13
  11. Those that criticize Ohio State needs to remember that those involved in the NCAA sanctions have been punished and dealt with. Tressel was fired and those that took the tattoos were suspended for several games. Now Gene Smith needs to be dealt with for taking the bowl ban this year instead of last year. As for Maurice Clarett, he has served his time and from what I hear, has changed his life around.
  12. I don't believe we would be ranked number 1; Notre Dame beat higher ranked teams. I really don't think even if we were to beat Nebraska in the B1G championship game we would even be ranked Number 2 either? I think we would've finished number 3 because the NCAA wants to the winner if the SEC Chamoionship game in the NC Game.
  13. B1G had to change because the college football landscape had changed.
  14. Foppa, I agree, but the B1G has decided to make their move before other conferences do. This way they are not standing outside looking in; the B1G is in the driver's seat right now. In reality, the B1G could come out smelling like roses when it is all said and done.
  15. 4skers89, Those are excellent points you make; however, these decisions by Universities are made for whole university as a a whole. For example, Maryland is thinking more than just rivalries for the fans sake, they are thinking if academics and staff as well. I am with a lot of people in terms of rivalries and tradition, but times are changing and is better to be ahead of the curve...than behind it.
  16. Mark Schlabach also chimes in on the expansion and what will transpire across the board. Good insight. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8654194/college-football-conference-expansion-likely-end-maryland-big-ten
  17. I think that Gene Wojciechowski best sums this expansion up. and
  18. I would have to say O'Brien and then Meyer.
