WOTS is that Hackett told the players he would reach out to at least 16 different coaches. "Reach out". They're just poking around, gauging interest until Harbaugh gives them a definitive answer. Which he has NOT. And it's something he very well could've done weeks ago. UM is literally going Harbaugh or bust. I know it seems laughable to most people from the outside, but it just has this weird feeling of stars and planets aligning. I STILL don't think he'll accept the position, but there is a whole lot of smoke around the situation for him not to be considering it. If we don't get him, simple put, we're probably f'd. I don't think Miles is in play and unless we get Stoops we'll probably end up with Schiano, which would destroy the fanbase and probably see the attendance average drop down below 30 people.

There really is no point in firing him other that appeasing impatient fans who are worried he'll be retained next year. If that happens, UM as a football program will not be the same for a very long time. Really sad. I would have thought the AD would have fired Hoke already especially when you have two other major/big time programs out there looking for new HC's True, but honestly I'm not sure how much our coaching targets really overlap. We have a clear cut top two, neither of whom are realistic candidates for the NU or UF jobs. If we whiff on either of them? Who knows. I'd be down for McEllwein or however you spell it.

You're probably right, but what will his options be? The Raiders? They might be a bigger dumpster fire than we are right now. The Dolphins? That one is interesting. Stephen Ross might have to pick supporting his alma mater or the team he owns. Certainly wouldn't blame him for choosing the latter. I still don't think Harbaugh comes here. It is a completely insane thought. But it does seem like the stars are lining up in a weird way that make this moment of this year the only time that it ever might happen. He's going to get paid no matter where he goes. We might as well just throw the kitchen sink at him. Let's make a kickstarter. I'll donate $100.

I agree with the Michigan Man bullsh#t, but regardless of his previous affiliation to the university I cannot think of a candidate I'd rather have than Harbaugh.

Is Brady Hoke already gone in your eyes? If so, who would you like to see next year? There's no question Hoke is gone. Now we're just waiting for Brandon to get fired so the new AD can offer Harbaugh 20 Million a year.

Oh, it's definitely warm. I don't want to make any proclamations on behalf of the UM fanbase but we better see some improvement along the offensive line this year or his seat will be sweating.

I believe Gardner could make the throws needed, if they can magically get an offensive line that can protect him. They also need a legitimate RB in the backfield so they have a running threat, rather than Gardner being their whole offense. Well hopefully the next head under the axe is our O-line coach, who has done an absolutely horrible job developing the 4 & 5*'s we've recruited over the past few years. Hopefully they'll wait and let Nussmeier choose his own guy. Love the hate ya'll. It seems most UM fans are pumped, everyone else is unimpressed. I'm excited. This offense under Borges has gone backwards and ya'll have seen it first hand.
