  1. Instead of Jeter, Drake, and Toney playing catch with each other 30 feet away from the basket, will someone attack or fill the seams of OU's zone. The first and only time you did this ALmeida was planted three feet from the basket and got an easy bucket. NU's offense against the zone, makes me go balder faster than nature is intending.
  2. How quickly Nu can waste a 6 point lead is amazing to me. How do you not know where Pledgler is
  3. Holy Tech all over again. Gonna go down to the wire. Hopefully a better outcome.
  4. They were travels they shuffled their feet or took a little bunny hop before dribbling. Every call was ligit No they called after Walker was dribbling it for like 5 seconds. They called it after he went to the ground while he was still dribbing it. Don't remember or missed that one. I guess the bolded part would be half of the problem though. Great wing player with athleticism out the wazzoo but not a ball handler for sure.

  6. Wow the best FT shooter on the team misses two, so much for the article in the Journal Star today not jinxing Richardson. And I am sorry, yes this game is important for post season senarios, but there is way more work to do for this team. So please Kara Lawson stick to what you know best and that is beaver ball. Quit the NCAA talk in this game.
  7. I can't even rip on my Nebrasketball punching bag as Diaz has played well and is looking to crush the over/under in rebounds. NU had an advantage down low going into this game and if Almeida can keep on the floor in the second half maybe Doc continues to exploit it. However, the stupid unforced turnovers in the first half were putrid. Four travels, throwing the ball to the cheerleaders and press row, it needs to be shored up. Finally will someone other than Diaz or Walker look like they want to be in Norman tonight. Jeter, usually puts a good 2nd half together this year so hopefully he can, but BRich, Bear, Toney anyone Bueller......Bueller...............Bueller. This will be a dog fight to the end.
  8. 8:00 on ESPNU. Defensive rebounding, turnovers, and a quick start are keys to ending the road losing streak. Discuss...... BONUS Over/Under 5=Diaz rebounds
  9. This. The bolded part especially. If Jamal Turner and Bubba can see it and are saying the things they are, you'd hope Cody would see and think it as well. I have put out the face palm during some of Cody's performances and missteps after sitting up a little more when he has gotten in the game. However, there also have been a lot of times where you see those glimpses of what he can be. The guy is an awesome leader and team player. Something Taylor could use a TON of. But with the direction that the offense may be heading it isn't the best for Cody's skills. I will, always be a fan though. Who knows, knock the socks off the coaches this spring and through the summer and then everyone becomes a Cody guy in all liklihood if he does become "the guy".
  10. I think this title/promotion will not keep JP off the road(that would be assinine) but I do think it will slow him down a little. The days of Florida to Hawaii in a week will be over. JP has gotten NU in contention with so many kids that shouldn't have even been an option it is rediculous, even if they went elsewhere. From Owa and JR Ferguson to Ankrah, Guy and Rome, the guy flat out has that "it" factor out on the trail. Hopefully it continues, this RC will be much more productive and active than Mr Gilmore.
  11. From everything except the quips. They shall continue in rememberance and dishonor. I personally think Wats is a very good coach. Offensive Coordinator, probably a good one in the right system. Play caller, not so much. He never seemed toget into any kind of rhythm and could never exploit mismatches and what defenses were giving him. The guy was a good cat, and it's good to see him get a decent, albeit a demotion of sorts, gig. Best of luck and your memory will live in infamy in the Shed.
  12. But seriously there is something about a chick that can flat scream this beautifully that really gets me going.
  13. HAHAHA I like it. Of course even though it is about two months late there is always this classic Yule tide twist on the Badger song And then there is this winner
  14. That isthe finest woven Cardigan you will ever lay eyes on
  15. You do know that the guy that designed/photoshopped this layout also did one for NU. It is so appealing. The one he did of The U is pretty sweet as well as LSU Edit As seen three or four threads down(my bad)
  16. Sorry if it was posted some where else, but this is where it belongs. Hammer meet Nail. Personally it is a great article. The joke is exposed. And to make it all even better Associate AD in charge of BBall Mark Boehm has called a meeting on Friday to address points in this article. Lee this is for you Truth Hurts
  17. I thought about that too, but what if he isn't "compatible" with the offensive "scheme"?? Would they tailor the way we're going to run our offense around one guy though? I would pray he doesn't. I think Beck will play the guy that makes his offense go. However, he did work with Wats who "taylored" his offense around who the QB that could walk, so who knows.
  18. Yup, when you throw the ball out of bounds you need to have your feet under you and be accurate about it. If you sail it a little high, an extra second might run off the clock. Better to just take a sack instead of hitting the water boy when you meant to hit the cheerleader. If this is true, Wats for QB coach of the century. Exactly what I was thinking. How is taking the sack and taking more physical contact on a maimed wheel exactly good? WTF, this honestly can't be true, can it? That within itself is a quip. And as far as Cody's speed, he is just as quick as Brook was. Brook just was a great reader of the defenses and of course had five road graders infront of him and a couple of Cameros behind him along with a Mack truck.
  19. Ditto. Seem to remeber when the Utes were awesome in BBall with Keith Van Horne and Andre Miller about 2/3 of their team were married and a lot older then a ton of teams because of the number of players that went on missions.
  20. Hopefully Beck's new philosophy and tutoring of the QB's can produce something productive and exciting that may get kids like this to take a harder look at NU. Until then, these are just tracking threads on which SEC or in-state school WR's like DVario end up at. Fingers crossed but definitely not holding my breath. As always aspeedlin way to be on the ball.
  21. If you want a wrestler look no further than this guy
  22. Yeah, the right side of Fedor's head was all sorts of F'd up. Dana White was probably none to pleased by how good this Grand Prix is shaping up. I'm kinda digging it, reminds me of the old K-1/Pride type of set ups. First time I saw Arlovski, about 8 or 9 years ago, him, and Cro Cop, were f*cking animals. I would hate to see Andrei have to go out like this, but it may be time. I may start paying more attention to Strikeforce, because even though UFC's ultimate fighter is giving guys a shot, the whole UFC is becoming a bit watered down for my money. I started paying a little more attention to Strikeforce because of Nick Diaz. The guy is a stud and one of my faves. The intrigue of Fedor(before these last two fights) also pulled me in. In fact I will just say the last fight against Silva went bad for him. The fight against Werdum he got caught in the choke when he went for the kill after putting Ferbricio on his ass with the right hook. UFC is working on getting what we all want to see, the two most dominant fighters out there hooking up in the octagon. It's on you JSP.
  23. Tis true knapplc, but at the same time it is hard to get a true read of what you got, when you don't even give the kid a chance in game settings. Of course this could all be a wash considering Wats thought he had a good QB running the same plays that tore up the Idaho's and Western Kentuckyss of the world against the real defenses of the league.
