  1. Aright I have digested his play from last night over a 24 houe period and this is what I can come up with. Again, we as fans, got to see Diaz display of finess and touch with a bunch of early touches in and out of traffic. He came out like a man on fire but almost vanished down the stretch. Now I know his scoring wasn't needed or that other players scored or were unable to get him the ball. Again I will give him props for his touch and a good game. But this thread wasn't created to give pats on the back. Two simple things again were proven last night. 1. Will this clown ever attack the boards with a purpose? TWO, as in the number of rebounds he had last night. When this kid gets sent to the pine against Tech I hope he watches Caleb Walker attack the glass. He could learn something. Thhis needs to be resolved quickly. In fact all of the bigs could use a kick in the ass when it comes to this, but Diaz should be a double double all night. 2. Two of his four early baskets there was a chance for him to throw it down. Attack the rim with some attitude. My gosh. Not only do dunks get the crowd into a game, but they also show the opponents that you OWN the rim andwill be a force. Hopefully we can instill some aggressiveness at somee point and Brian will show a little more fire on the floor. Same ole, same ole when it comes to nitpicking like I had said a good game. But in honor of the thread and the cuss words that still came out my mouth about his play in the win, I needed to get this off my chest again. I have a feeling that this may be a reoccurring theme for Brian, but we can hope for a change.
  2. Please never compare Lance to that other guy again, Signed a Yankee Hater
  3. I'm not certain on this, but I believe the rule is that the HEAD coach can only visit once. I believe there's also a once per week rule. Somebody find it in the NCAA manual? I did a quick google but couldn't find anything either way. I have been diggin as well, for my own self gratification I suppose. They are allowed six visits in a contact period like at the high school of the player or at a sporting event in which the recruit is playing. My thing is the in home. The NCAA loves to word things very strokey. I probably am banking on the head coach, but I swear in home contact is pretty restrictive. I smell a personal crow sandwich coming when someone does dig up the rule. But I swear the in home thing is very limited.
  4. Come on aspeedlin, six minutes ago ya had 55-45 NU, what gives. Effim with ya, You and I are usually on the same page when it comes to recruits. I think it is a straight up coin toss at this point. Todd has a final three but I think it is no secret that it is a two horse race. I say 52=48 ASU. Hopefully Bo and the boys made things a lot harder for Todd to stay in state. AND FOR THE REST OF YOU. The visit was tonight Tuesday the 18th and Todd will be deciding at the end of the week. And yes aspeedlin, coaches only getone in home visit per recruit as mandated by the NCAA I agree, we usually are on the same page when it comes to recruits. But, this kid is just so hard to read at this point in the game. I'm still thinking ASU in the end, as you said too Paul. According to Peat, Carl had an in-home on Sunday night (the 16th) and Bo will be there this upcoming weekend. Which would be a recruiting violation. Per NCAA one coach in home visit per recruit. Not one visit per coach. Fairly certain Bo, Carl, and JP all visited. Would it really make sense for him to announce this week and then get an in home visit from Bo afterwards? Only way this is possible is if Todd slightly let the cat out of the bag and has been a "silent" commit. Don't see it that way though
  5. Well officer Doc always said leave it all on the floor(boards) And obviously they both favor skins in "pick up" games
  6. Alright Doc could really use some more height let's get him signed up! Man this guy crashes the boards strongly. Oh........ my bad
  7. Real smooth Stan Hardinger. Hello pro contract in Europe which is what he wanted anyways

  9. Really its a two horse race. And the question really becomes was enough done tonight to get him to move out of state this summer.
  10. +1 ya, cause ya beat me to it. Bo and crew were in home tonight and Todd will announce this week
  11. If Toney McCray continues to play at the high level he is on right now, 18 tonight, MAYBE this team might crack .500 in conference.
  12. Of course it's Jeter that puts the final nail in the coffin
  13. Settling for some poor shots. CU can shoot their way back into this.
  14. Lance Jeter is this team. When he goes the team goes. Again at this point and time he's the only guy that could play for KU. McCray continues to try to join him though.
  15. Diaz needs to play with the aggression that Caleb Walker plays with. EXACTLY. WHile on the bench he should just watch Walker hit the boards.
  16. Nominate Blaze1up Even if most of his Acceleration occurs in the Shed
  17. Doc has a bad game plan IMO to double anytime the ball goes into the post. That just plays into the Buffs hands as they spread the floor so well and make quick passes that a lot more threes will be raining down. This ain't KU, if Almieda or Diaz can't man up by themselves in the post enough is said. If Burks tries to post up I can see it, but not CU's bigs
  18. They are throwing out a lot of greyshirt possibilities to recruits too. Believe Ameer Abdullah said as much in an interview. You will see the Trojans recruiting start hurting in the Classes of 12/13. That is when they will really start getting crunched. I believe there is a thread in the Recruiting Threads in which and ESPN talking head broke down how the Trojans can have a big class this year and will start feeling the numbers game next year.
  19. Yeah even on the Buffs board there is mention that Lake tried to commit to the Huskers but he is on hold until a decision comes from Carter. I find the "tried to commit" comment very hard to believe. I see Lake as an Oregon lean. If he wanted to commit, the NU coaches would gladly accept it. I know we are limited with schollies but Lake is worth one. Just a hunch though. Ditto. Didn't Lake visit before we were even in that much with Carter? Yeah Lake visited in October and Carter came with Stafford for the Buff game. All the serious talk about Carter started up a little before his visit. Carter has been committed to Zona since last March. I think there may have been other DE guys the coaches may have been hoping to land but, I am with SkerChicago and say if he wanted to commit it would have been acccepted. Still think he is a Duck.
  20. I personally think Hagg is the biggest loss for next year after Alex. Bigger than Prince. He easily could have slid down to OLB if we ran more of a base defense. Eric would have been a perfect OLB in McBride's system. Best tackler on the team, and a hell of a cover guy. As far as 3 LBs in a game next year, maybe 50% of the conference season if that. Michgan, Northwestern, Minnesota, Penn St, and Ohio St(a lot of the time) all run the spread. Add in Illinois, Purdue and Indiana and you'll find that all these teams last year ran some kind of variable of a spread offense more often than people think. Wisconsin Michigan St. and Iowa are the truest teams that line up in power sets. But will spread it out in a heartbeat. It is just they were most successful going right at people. We will see more Peso than people are thinking.
  21. How crappy would this be. Will visit sCUm this weekend. Better hope it aint true Haspula. Still think he'll be a duck.
  22. OK, ok I had to do it. It is the 900 lb gorilla sitting in the corner of the room, that everyone has seen it and knows it's there, said something, but now is your chance to really get it off your chest. JORGE BRIAN DIAZ What the hell. How many pushups/pullups can you do? Are ya benching 185 or squating 250 yet. Game after game I see you get thrown around like a ragdoll, and yet can still faintly remember you owning Cole Aldrich last year. What gives. Brandon Ubel looks like friggin Dwight Howard compared to you now. And for the love of Allah DUNK the DAMN BALL
  23. He has came out and said he loves the cold. Loved it up when he visited Minnesota. Says it fits his style. I am sure lincoln can server up some nice balmy negative degree day(with wind chill) for him.
  24. backer, you know I have seen eye to eye with ya and enjoy your insight and perspective. So I am not jumping on ya just giving my two cents here with these two qoutes. First let's think of what many of NU's fanbase probably thought about CU going into this year, 2 W's more than not and if anyone really says deferently they are lying. It IS impressive what they did in Manhatten and Stillwater. And the fact that KSU had Pullen really makes it impressive in my mind, this was a preseason Big XII favorite. I'll even throw the Mizzou win in with the road games, because of the style MU plays and their depth, the altitude excuse does not fly. Again it is impressive because of what the majority of people thought CU would be like. Second, yes there still is a lot ugly "classic NU ball" traits that show there heads all to often still. Outside scoring, free throws, and giving up offensive rebounds. The rebounding was amazing for 3/4 the game against KU. Yes, I know they ended up out rebounding KU, but key pionts came off offensive boards down the stretch for KU. NU continually gets to the line less than opponents which kills, and no one on that team probably felt comfortable shooting that last tying attempt. Now for CU. I like the chances for one reason. The pace of the game. CU scores a lot in transition usually hitting threes while the defense is scrambling. I see NU taking this away. Also I think that CU can't keep this up forever(I am one of the two Ws guys). They have no real huge inside presense, so hell Diaz may look like a JUCO player instead of a junior high schooler. Doc says it ain't a moral victory, but Saturday should do nothing but help this team gain confidence. I say NU by 12 And you thought your post was longwinded. Again enjoy the banter with ya.
