  1. Don't take my post wrong, I am stoked that NU is in his final two. However, I still will be shocked if he chooses NU. All along there has been a west coast flavor to his recuitment with NU being the exception. His visit here was "great" in his words, but the same was said after he went to Eugene. The Ducks however have a huge plus going for them with a strong Polynesian community on campus and within the team. Some recruits say that doesn't make that much of a difference for them, but I actually believe it plays more into the decision than they may let on. The other big factor I believe will be the fact, as irieboy has pointed out a lot, is the availibility of West Coast games on TV. His family probably would love to see him, and unless they have a dish provider and subscribe to the Big Ten Network, this will probably be easier as a Duck. Again don't get me wrong, I probably give a fistpump if he signs with NU. However, I see it about 90-10% Quack Attack and their fishing lure uniforms.
  2. You're right except for the fact that they played him a least on series a half in all those game before TM was hurt just like the coaches had stated they would from day one and often he was put in horrible situations when he was put in. I think this offense works pretty good against the Big 10, Michigan had great success and if they would have had a defense they probably had a shot at winning the damn thing. I think we are extremely lucky Rich Rod got the ax and wasn't allowed to fix his D with a new DC. Hoke will be much easier to beat over the next 5-10 years if he lasts that long. Actually I think we better get our beatings in on Michigan while we still can. Hoke I believe is the real deal, it will take a couple years but Hoke will get the Wolverines rolling again. which i think will be good for BigTen and college football as a whole. Agreed huskerscott. I think that Hoke and Michigan will be fine offensively in the immediate future. His offense with Borges, whom I'm pretty sure followed him to Ann Arbor, will fit Robinson and Michigan's skill players almost to a tee. Offense will not be his problem, as it has been alluded to before defense is the issue. Hell it can even be a simple fix for them, like with a new coordinator(see Bo replacing Bohl, Bo again replacing Coz). Talent hasn't up and left Michigan. They might not have had classes like the pass, but they still are a trademark name.
  3. The fact that Gilmore thinks he is an excellent coach is proof of dillusion for me.
  4. Didnt Davie say during his frosh year in Detroit he didn't overly focus on his schoolwork very well? Could swear he had said that in an interview somewhere. Time to start digging for that one. I swear he said that when talking about reasons he was enjoying Beatrice, less destractions better focus. Man this one is gonna eat at me if I can't dig that one up. Anyone else remember anything along these lines?
  5. Still great effort. The bigs got whipped in the 2nd half. Jeter is still the only guy that would play on any big time Big XII team. McCray tried to show he could too today.
  6. Let's see the usual protocal here now is. KU wins the first game in a close hard fought game. KU blows NU out of the water in the next game. Obviously this is what happens when both games aren't blow outs
  7. SHocker. Free throw bugaboo at the worst time
  8. Know where Reed is for the kick out after KU tries to stuff it inside
  9. One stop do they have it in them
  10. THat was rebound we got in the first half. Looked awful close to being in the cylander too
  11. What's this? Life? a Bear Jones sighting?
  12. When adversity hits in a big time game, this team always pisses itself
  13. Dont settle for bad jumpers like richardson
  14. The great helpside defense from the first half has gone buh bye. This is turning into a And 1 mixtape show
  15. JP once again living the hard life. January in Nebraska where the highs might not get to 20 the next couple of weeks and oh what's this a trip out to Hawaii? I guess, if you want me to Bo. Seriously though, I still see Lake heading to the Ducks. If he was such a high priority recruit, the staff would hit him up like they are doing with Peat. I think they know as well this kid is sticking on the west coast.
  16. I would love to know what or how much the Puffs are offering to get in the picture after never being in consideration for most of this process.
  17. We all honestly saw this coming. Now the question becomes do they fight back after getting hit with a haymaker, or fold as in the past and this becomes another 20 point loss in Lawrence
  18. The best thing about Danny was his senior year at Chadron St he faced 8 and 9 guysin the box and still put up unreal numbers. Everyone one the field and at the game new who was gonna get the ball and he made defensive coordinators look foolish. Chadron had some good teams then and his line was underappreciated probably, he opened up everything for that offense. He is his own persona for sure it is always just a case of devil's advocate to think/wonder if he could have had success like that at NU considering the type of player he has become today.
  19. Here are my concern for the second, that can quickly wipe out an excellent first half effort. KU's pressure when Jeter is not on the court. No one can start the offense it seems other than Lance. Also when he first went out and KU came out full court, it was painful to watch NU try to even inbound the ball. I expect KU to crank up the pressure. KU hitting the boards harder on offense. NU has done a great job at limiting KU to one and done, can this continue. Finally the 600 lb monkey in the room. When does NU go on its endless FG drought? I hope it never comes but it is a staple of this team. So far so good, but these will be the toughest opening 8 minutes after half. Survive and there is a chance. Let's hope for the best.
  20. Seems like we hardly got to know ya Buh Bye
  21. Yes, very much so. Ameer is a must have now, IMO. Agreed. Thinking the c$%ks will be the biggest threat here. Bama just got the Michigan decommit at the Army AA game, so they're out. If all goes well this weekend with him and his teammate. All we really need to do is survive the venom that the ole ball coach will throw at him. South Carolina is a threat, but USC might get his last visit and they are number 2 behind us. If we do not wow him enough so that he forgets about USC it might get a little more interesting down the stretch with Ameer. I'll tell ya what happened here. Knowing that he liked the GameCocks and what part of the country he was from I always had USC in my head as Univ. of South Car. My bad. Never really put a ton of effort looking into this kid prior to the Braylon events and always had it that way in my head. I can adit to a screw up, MY BAD. Now this is a larger threat probably because the Trojans do not have a true RB in this class. I am thinking D'Anthony Thomas fills that spot but he is smaller than Ameer. Now talk about having to survive venom. Lane Kiffin probably can make Steve Spurrior look like and alterboy. Wasnt trying to be a jerk in my post, sorry if that came off in a bad way Paul. No way aspeedlin, the big old MY BAD was me proving that I can admit my eff ups no way was it intended towards you. I am more disappointed in the fact that I never really looked into the kid, who is visiting so interest is there, until the whole Braylon situation. I was just rolling on perception instead of reality. I can admit when I am wrong, but hate looking like an ass.

  23. I believe through the eyes of many on this board and in this state would agree when I say NU's #3 says what's up. And no not Ricky
