  1. Alshon looked faster off the line - 10 yd dash Dennard looked (to me) to be able to catch him - 40 yd dash
  2. Get ready for some hater to provide 1 or 2 examples.
  3. I just posted the same thing in the Jamal Turner thread. I have gone from overly critical of his play to a supporter since the Northwestern game. He has made plays and not hurt the team.
  4. He isn't losing the game for the team anymore. I'd take it a step further and say that he is making plays. I think as he gets more comfortable (afraid of injuries and making the making the wrong decision), the big play running aspect will come back. Two months ago I would have never said what I am about to say. I still think he is going to get better.
  5. Sorry, couldn't get past this comment. Earlier in the year he was underthrowing them so much that they couldn't score a touchdown....which I did have a problem with. Now we complain about touchdowns....Interesting.
  6. Is it just me or hasn't Pelini called himself out multiple times during post game loses in the last couple of years? I don't think this generalization of throwing players under the bus has any legs. I tend to believe that Pelini needs to change the culture of the program. Of course it was easy to do when he arrived, but his approach (his leadership, what he wanted to do and how he wanted to do it) was probably flawed. I don't think that is as big of an issue as people make it out to be. After all, he is a firery, first time coach that had a lot of success as a coordinator. Although he'd never admit it, I would venture to believe he probably thought being a head coach at this level was easier than what it turned out to be. Now that he is here, it will be more difficult to change things (culture). I think that is what he is working on that now. I still believe that the next two years will show us if Pelini is the guy or not. I'm looking for consistency from the team and not NC's at this point. Only one team wins a national championship.
  7. Shawn Watson? WTF? All any opponent needs to do is make us fumble on the other side of the 50. All any opponent needs to do is have us drop passes. All any opponent needs to do is have our lineman false start. I could see how that could be the offensive coordinator of Louisville fault.
  8. This bugs the crap out of me. It seems like every single time Bo is interviewed he says "we just didn't execute." Really Bo? Thats the best you can come up with? I wanna know WHY we didn't execute and what he's gonna do to change it so next time we do execute. Im beginning to think Bo recognizes there are problems but he doesn't know how to fix them, therefore we will not see progress. He has ideas in his head about how things should go and how he'd like to see things, he just doesn't know how to execute them. I think Bo knows there are things that need to be fixed, but he is still developing how to fix them. The most obvious example of this to me is the train wreck sideline blow ups he had last year. Pulling Taylor, putting in Cody, throwing in Lee. I think he knows he screwed up. There points this season where he probably should have pulled him, but didn't. I think he is still learning recruiting. I've got the Husker goggles on, but I think next year is going to tell us a lot. I think we too often forget that this is Bo's first head coaching gig. He's going to make mistakes, but will those some mistakes continue?
  9. Well, he knows written English Bipolar. This puts him one up on you.... You two need to get a room.
  10. They are loaded on Vodka and Cocktaine
  11. Yeah. Alshon Jeffery didn't perfectly time and outjump 3 of your players and then still muscle his way 5 more yards for a score. Grow up. I think the dude made a great play. That doesn't mean it isn't a fluke. You both win!!!
  12. Cause South Carolina beat the brakes off of the huskers today. By three scores. I'm sorry, but your coach and your qb is delusional.. Bo pelini says, after the gamecocks stomped the huskers, that they were still the best team today? So, gaining negative yards in the fourth quarter is better? I'm sorry, but 30>13. 11-2 is better than 9-4. And Martinez saying that the SEC defense isn't as good as the big 10? After the SEC held the cornhuskers to the fewest points all season? And after he got sacked 6 times and threw an interception? Gamecocks went out there and flat out coached and played the huskers today. They were the better team. But can't wait to see y'all in omaha this year! The fans and citizens of Omaha are absolutely the nicest and most wonderful fans around. And I mean that.
  13. Or just the ones whose opinions you don't agree with?Or is that how it is determined who qualifies as a "sh**ty fan. While I don't agree with the premise of the thread, anyone who says they aren't glad certain players won't be out there anymore is just flat out lying. And for the record, it certainly wasn't me calling in on Rex. I think he's going to end up as one of the most revered Huskers of all time. No...calling out Burkhead makes you a sh**ty fan. Did someone really say that about him? How you find anything derogatory to say about him, he just goes out and leaves it all out there. I only caught about 4 calls as I took a quick trip up to Menard's. Some of the idiots that call that show make Huskerboard look like MENSA.
  14. Stop faking that you weren't about 7 years old during the Callahan era. Get some sleep, High School classes fire up in the morning.
  15. They won. I don't need to read it. I still think South Carolina looks like a Uterus.
  16. I would rather him say, "We are going to play each quarter of each game as if it is the title game." I would cringe when he dropped back to pass or took off to scramble because of what might happen. I have seen the kid make a ton of improvements this years. Improvements that if you searched some of my old 'content' I said would never happen. I think it is unfortunate that people are trolling for things to pick on the kid about.

  18. I bet Turner doubles his touches..... 1 every 2 games.
  19. Thanks for bringing up something I complete forgot about....You want to see a safety that helps over the top in man watch Stafford. You want to see a safety who bites and leaves the corner exposed...watch the other guy. I'm not even talking about in man. Dennard never needed help over the top when he was in man defense one on one. That streak route that went for 78 yards was a cover 2 zone, probably the least complex of Pelini's defenses. Nothing tricky or complex was going on. Cassidy (assuming it was him, don't really remember) was off in la-la land for the entire play, and apparently forgot what he was doing and didn't have inside help on the outside receiver. Dennard didn't really even try to jam, he funneled him right towards the middle like he was supposed to. Even in man the, as long as they aren't going no backs ( it depends on formation/personnel), one of the safeties should be free to help on the deep ball.
  20. Huh? Who cares if you're Air Force. The 3 drops are a problem. When you complete 13 of 16, 16 attempts is far from the problem.

  22. I not a real big fan of Taylor, but in all honesty.....What do you want him to say?
  23. The o-line completely owned the line of scrimmage the first half. Rex was hitting the second level untouched consistently. This offense does not have the personnel to overcome mistakes (penalties, dropped passes, fumbles, bad field position, missed assignments). I actually think they will be decent next year. We'll see I guess.
  24. I think he got off the ball better than Fonzie. The thing that I thought was most impressive is how Fonzie ran him down multiple times.
