  1. Does anyone know "roughly" how many spots we still have remaining?
  2. This is exactly why I like U-Dub fans. My brother-in-law is also a Huskies fan (born and raised in Seattle) and he and I have been going back-and-forth for weeks about the game. We spoke all day long during the game, but when everything was said and done, he congratulated us on looking really good and taking home a deserving win. Thanks for the kind words. I wish more schools had fans like U-Dub. Best of luck with the USC game in a few weeks, I will be cheering for the Huskies!
  3. another oregon battle....... At least it's not another UCLA battle. I'm tired of them!!!!
  4. They all looked good in their own ways, but the play making ability of Taylor is too much. I think Taylor is the starter, especially if he keeps running like that. You can't bench him if he goes out there next week and rushes for another 2 or 3 TDs.
  5. LaVonte David is sounding like he is doing pretty well recognizing the plays. It sounds like he is always in on the play. What a great pick-up.
  6. Beat me to it! Taylor is the new man....
  7. Hope this link works, it's live already with pre-game. http://www.huskers.c...SCRIBER_CONTENT= Edit...didn't work, hit that link, and click "Live Events" on the left, then click "Free Radio- FB vs Western Kentucky". It's streaming right now. I'm on it right now. Thank you very much. I'm excited to at least get to listen....
  8. By the way, when do the pregame events take place on KRNU?
  9. Great! Thanks for the information. I have always listened on the athletic site. I never knew about the KRNU website. I will tune-in. Thanks!
  10. Man, I am pumped and ready for the season!!!! Does anyone know if the Huskers official athletic website will still be bringing the live radio feed from the game? Also, if they are, is a user name and password now required? I was looking at the website a little bit ago to make sure everything is up and running, but I haven't seen the typical live radio feeds (pregame, and gameday, etc.) posted on the football homepage. The only thing I saw was under a link that said radio broadcasts, but it required a user name and password (which is no big deal, except they never required that before). Any information would be greatly appreaciated! Some of us Die-Hard Huskers fans stuck out here in California and we don't get anything except the radio broadcasts on the internet! Oh well, that's how we spend our Saturdays in the fall gathered around the old computer! Thanks and GO BIG RED!!!!
  11. My honest opinion is that TMart has won the starting job (not saying I agree with this or not). Since the QB race has been so tight and the media is drooling for an answer, I feel that Bo and the rest of the staff would have openly said Lee was the starter if that were the case. Since Bo does not want to say a word until game time on Saturday, leads me to believe that Lee is not the starter and Green or Martinez are. Out of what I have seen and heard, my guess is Taylor gets the nod. Again, this is just my opinion! We'll see in 3 more days!!!!
  12. Are there really black alternate jerseys that we will be wearing this year? I always assumed we never wore a black alternate so that it doesn't take away from the "blackshirt" starters (just my opinion). I would LOVE to see us wear black alternates!
  13. Nice post! Thanks. Does anyone know what the plans are for Jamal staying at QB? Like the article suggests, he may eventually look better at WR or DB. If the idea is to keep him at QB, I get the image of Jamal being the next Eric Crouch if he continues playing the way he did this past game.
  14. I remeber reading somewhere recently that the major televised game were already scheduled. Is it possible that this game doesn't even get the attention it deserves? Is there a possibility that the scheduled games are changed in order to put this one in the spotlight? I would think (and hope) that this should be considered one of the games of the week and deserve the national attention at either midday or evening
  15. I agree that he doesn't transfer or leave the team. I also agree that I see him changing positions. I have always wondered what he would look like at TE. Does anyone know how his hands are? With his build, I honestly think he could be a nice threat at TE (again, assuming he has the catching abilities).
  16. Hello to everyone. I decided I should finally join the community officially, since I have been sifting through the posts for the past few years but never adding anything myself. I'm excited to be here and look forward to chating with you all. Here is some information about me: 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Next week starts my 3rd football season as a Huskers fan! 2) What/who led you to The Nation? Long story short, it was actually my oldest son three years ago when he was 1 year old! I can tell you the story if everyone is really that interested. 3) Where are you from originally? I am originally from the high desert of Southern California (roughly halfway between L.A. and Las Vegas). I left to go to college and much to my surprise, I ended-up right back in the same place due to my job. 4) Where do you live now? The High Desert of California - Victorville / Apple Valley 5) Favorite Husker memory? Becoming a Huskers fan during the Nebraska 2008 6) Worst Husker memory? The stupid loss of the Big XII title game against Texas last year. Terrible officiating!!!! 7) Number of home games attended? None....sadly! 8) Number of away games attended? None yet. I had a hotel reserved and travel plans made to attend the game on Sept 18 in Seattle, but my brother-in-law (who is a UW Huskies fan) had to flake-out on me. My wife and Kids and I were still going to go, but things fell through. Assuming the schedules remain unchanged with the move to the Big 10 next year, I am planning on attending the game here against UCLA at the Rose Bowl in 2012 (Sept 8). 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? I purchased an authentic #19 "Q" jersey last summer before he was kicked off the team! 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? At home in front of the TV (if they are televised). If not, I listen to the free radio broadcast on the Huskers website on the computer. 11) Favorite all time player? At this point, I would have to say Suh. I used to also follow Nebraska in the late 90's and early 2000's (how could you not?), and loved watching Eric! 12) WCO or Option? I would say WCO 13) Bob Devaney or Tom Osborne? Tom Osborne 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Herbie 15) Favorite Husker play? Play Action roll, fake toss to HB, fake throw to FB, deep toss down field to open WR. TOUCHDOWN....BIG RED!!!! 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Ice Cold Pepsi! 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? Google search 3 years ago.
