Posted some stuff about Dylon about a year ago. Kid doesn't get alot of attention due to the fact he played on a 2-6 team. Ran for 800 yards behind an young and undersized line, with teams keying him and stacking the box. Also had around 400 yards receiving and led all classes in tackles after 8 games. He's a tough kid, playing half the season with stress fractures in his shins, a torn labrum, broken fingers, and a dislocated elbow. Doesn't have the height to be a D1 linebacker, but he would be a great addition at fullback as a walk on. Currently getting interest from some D1 & 1AA schools (including one in the B1G) to play fullback.

I've been hearing the signing bonus is going to be more around the 2-3 mil range. Still a lot of money but I've also heard the "magic" number for him is around 6.

What's the outlook on Rodriguez? There was a lot of talk last year from the coaches, even going so far as to say that he could end up being an all time great. I wasn't overly impressed by him when we were at the same camps, or during the state finals his senior year. He's a very large man though.

I believe Solich said that he thought Lord could've been a first round pick as a safety had he played there. Lord gets a lot of grief but he really was an amazing athlete, he just didn't have the greatest supporting cast and had to follow some guy named Crouch.

r I thought Kellogg looked great. Judging by video of practice he looks to be one of the best passers mechanically. I know he's chasing the dream and all, but it's almost too bad he didn't go to a lower tier school where he could have got the chance to start. He just doesn't fit our offense imo and he's not ever going to get any serious looks at being number one.

Not true at all. Kildow is one of the fastest and most elusive guys on the team. Much, much faster than Burkhead. The guy would be a baller if he was a little taller and might end up being a good player anyway.

I heard our waterboys have really improved since last year.

Just got off facebook and was browsing aaron green's profile. His status this morning basically said that he was freaking out about the Bo Pelini deal. He said he hopes he doesn't leave or he's going to do the whole recruiting deal over again. Pelini leaving would absolutely devastating to the program.

Ya i know what you mean. I'm a student in Lincoln now and have met a few of the players a couple times and they're real chill. I was watching the game with my friend who lived with T Mart yesterday. I asked him about him again and he didn't say much other than the walk-on story and that he was just an a-hole to everybody. He also said that Eric Martin was about as smart as a box of rocks and that he thought cohabitation meant masturbation, and that he didn't know what a cinder block was! For anybody who knows, are the rumors about Carnes pushing for the job next year true? I honestly didn't think he'd ever see the field.

I remember when I got on here after the Western Kentucky game telling a story of how a friend of mine lived on the same floor with Martinez and said he was disrespectful and arrogant, telling walk-ons that they didn't even belong on the team. Man did I get ripped for that. The rumors of him wanting to quit the team last summer were true. Coaches haven't liked his attitude from the beginning. He's imo a great player who could turn out to be the best at Nebraska, and I really respect what he did for his dad and family, but he's a jerk of a person.

I'll tell you what happened. He committed to Nebraska and everyone knows good players don't go there, especially if they're from Texas.

Ya I remember that and thinking that was hilarious that he got in trouble but I'm pretty sure my dislike for him went way further back then that. Did he maybe make a comment about Nebraska during the 2001 game when we got blasted by CU when he thought he was on commercial?

With all the talk about how much Ed Cunningham and how he is now the most hated announcer in Nebraska, even more so than Brent Musburger, it got me wondering. I was somehow ingrained with a hate of Musburger I think from my parents/relatives and I don't know why. Maybe I'm too young to remember, but was there any specific incident why Nebraska fans dislike him?

Despite being a child of the Big 12 era and not being around during the great battles in the past, in my opinion there can't be any other choice than Oklahoma. Win or lose it would be great to have our last BIg 12 game played against the Sooners.

Thought I'd share a neat video of one of my friends. The kid in the video is Dylon Leslie a 5'11" 210 lb FB/LB playing for eight-man Spalding/Spalding Academy. He's just a Jr. but he leads the state in tackles despite only playing in 5 games. He's a 4.7 kid who probably will end up playing Division II ball but with some work could maybe be a special teams guy in D1. Come on man your just being dumb. I'm not trying to bring the kid down but you can just tell. Obviously from just the post game interviews many other people got the impression that the kid is very full of himself. You can just tell. He gave himself the T-Magic nickname. The paper even said so the past week. Also, they went into detail on things the guy had posted about himself on facebook that did not sound so humble to me, especially for someone who had never played a down.

I'm sure that story didn't get twisted at all by jealousy or friends/family wishing their guy was getting the same kind of love as t-mart... that is if this is even coming from a reliable source, which I highly doubt. Watching post-game interviews, every guy smiled when talking about Taylor. If he were an arrogant jerk, I suspect players wouldn't love talking about him so much. I'm not trying to bring the guy down at all. Having swagger and confidence is almost essential for being a successful quarterback and from what I saw Saturday Martinez is legit. The story about T-Mart isn't something that just came up after his big game, it was told to me a year ago when he was just basically a no name guy who was fighting to prove he deserved to even get a shot at qb. Its just a fact that as a person the guys kind of a jerk, but so are plenty of other guys his age. As for the teammates smiling and only saying good things about after the game... of course they would. He just put on a show as a red-freshmen. Plus they really only talked to Rex ( who I don't think could ever say anything not PC) and Niles who's cockier than anyone. Just so we're clear...You know for a fact Martinez is a cocky, arrogant, and superficial jerk because your friend says so and because a friend of your friend said so. Everybody on the team (including many on the sidelines, if you were at the game) were hugging him, smiling, laughing, etc. when he scored a touchdown. You don't get that type of praise of you're a jerk. Well I obviously don't know for a fact that he is but if someone said that he is arrogant p.o.s. with absolutely no reason to than he probably is. Keep in mind he lived on the same floor as T-Mart all year, I'm pretty sure he got a good feel of what type of guy he is. Bottom line, who cares if he is arrogant and cocky, no one said you had to be a nice guy to play football, and as long he makes plays I'm going to love and support the guy. All I'm saying is that the dude is no Turner Gill.
