  1. Physically, I would say that he is definitely ready. On another note, as these LOIs role in I remember how freaking good this class is.
  2. Our defense immediately just took a step forward with his LOI in now.
  3. Exactly! I love this guys attitude. That is why I think he will make his way into a significant role on defense early in his career.
  4. Fantastic! I was very afraid that LSU or Bama was going to swoop in. What a steal! Dang you Fowler! Beat me to it...
  5. The #stealth tweet really has me intrigued. Our coaches snuck in and stole a game-changer?
  6. I'm really intrigued as to what this means... I am too! I have no idea who it could be. Big gamechanger that TJ and Papuchis would be pumped about ... makes me think Alexander. How huge would that be? So is it safe to say that there will be at least one surprise tomorrow? If its Alexander, I will probably piss my pants.
  7. I'm really intrigued as to what this means...
  8. Good line-up, but I expect Newby to back up Abdullah, and Rome/Curry to start over Valentine/Randle.... I also expect J. Rose to start at a corner spot, and Singleton to start of H.Jackson at safety.... Yup, they said this pass year that JRose is by far the best CB on the team. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Ankrah at DT and Moss or McMullen in a starting position. And the coaches seem to be very high on Greg Hart seeing playing time this next season at TE.
  9. I understand and completely agree that Heard is that good at RB, the only reason that I think the coaches should CONSIDER moving Heard back to CB is the same reason they moved Steinkuhler from OT to DT. ...... I think he is the most natural RB on the team. So you want the most natural RB on the team to switch positions... Because we have other very good RBs and we need DBs, I think it should be CONSIDERED
  10. I understand and completely agree that Heard is that good at RB, the only reason that I think the coaches should CONSIDER moving Heard back to CB is the same reason they moved Steinkuhler from OT to DT. I remember hearing it said that Baker could be an All-American at OT or All-Conference at DT, but we needed him at DT. We need Heard at CB IMO. We didn't take any CB's other than a JUCO in the '12 class, in '11 we took Davie and Jackson but Jackson is already at Safety and it is looking like we might be taking one in this class. We need young CBs. Its not that I think Heard isn't a very good RB, I think he is the most natural RB on the team.
  11. If these three remain healthy, there should be no need to play Newby or Taylor. I also think there is no need to redshirt both Newby and Taylor. In fact, I want and think both should play this year. If I were the coaches (which I clearly am not), I would consider redshirting Heard and moving him back to CB. Then split Heards 15% between Cross, Taylor and Newby. RB is not a position that needs to be redshirted every year. We don't want to become Boise State, where we redshirted every player that comes through the door. Let the play-makers play! JMHO
  12. Bo, Beck, and Els have Ohio connections. So I am not worried about that. They were recruiting in Ohio prior to Marrow becoming a GA. And Marrow didn't recruit every Ohio kid we have now. I don't think he was even the lead recruiter for Greg Hart and that was his "coaching" position. So I don't think we will lose much of the groundwork that has been set. Also, Marrow has been credited for kids leaving our class this year. One being a guy the staff didn't even want and now McWilson. I would say we will be okay. As for Sandland, I would have been more upset if he had gone to Kentucky. But if he wants to wallow in a cesspool of an empty stadium with infractions looming over the team, more power to him. We wouldn't have landed Sandland even if Marrow would have stayed here. He showed little interest and I think most of it was for attention. If it was all about Marrow, wouldn't you think Sandland would have made a visit to Kentucky? No because he couldnt get into the SEC schools because of a math class he took online, the SEC didn't recognize it. And yes, we would've gotten him if Marrow didn't leave. Sandland said he wanted to play for Marrow. Aspeed, I hate to be "that guy", but your sig is a little out-dated again...I would suggest adding McWilson to that list.
  13. Couldn't agree more! He was as good as it gets, he always made the right decision and rarely made a mistake or took a loss on the play. Jamelle Holieway would probably be the next closest option qb to him. I'd take Crouch.... How much did Crouch actually run a true option compared to designed qb runs such as the QB powers, isos, and leads. Some of them types of plays were just developed for Frost. Frazier did not operate many designed qb runs. I think maybe the Fiesta Bowl against Florida, they would spread out 5 wides and let Frazier do a draw trap, but other than that, he was mostly running conventional option runs. I was referring too which QB I would prefer if I was starting a traditional Nebraska team.... Imagine Crouch with that 1995 Husker talent! Scary good.... Frazier is the greatest Husker quarterback we have seen (so far). An argument could be made for the greatest college quarterback across the board. And the 95' Husker team was scary good lol
  14. After graduating this year, he has decided not to come back for his fifth season. Thanks for all of the time hard work you put in to make our program better Nick! Best of luck.
  15. Hey! It ain't over till the fat lady (Hedley) sings! I have been singing for days I still think he picks Nebraska...and anyone who doesn't want him is only kidding themselves. The kid has talent...we don't turn talent like that away.
  16. ...and losing a contact lens on the sidewalk is "technically" littering. Never saw a ticket for this. As long as a person isn't giving information for money, party, girls, etc. And the recruit does not say that said "Facebook" poster was the reason for his commitment because of "infractions" this is not a problem. We are not as important as we like to think we are.... Edit: not necessarily directed at you, Huskergeorge. More to the people that hyperventilate every time someone mentions they contacted a recruit to say "Welcome, hi, how ya doing..." on social media. I was actually thinking about this yesterday. Say the NCAA cracked down on this suddenly and began to penalize for fans reaching out and contacting recruits. Who gets penalized? Does the school get in trouble for something they have absolutely no control over? Does the kid get in trouble when, again, they had no control over it? I hate this rule, it really doesn't make any sense. Now an argument could be made that it is borderline stalker when you are reaching out to these kids, but it should not be an NCAA violation. Sorry for the rant...back to McWilson. He will be .....I'm 75% sure of it.
  17. IMO, this is simply because of his injury. The dude is one heck of an athlete and will definitely make his way to the field early in his career because of it.
  18. With the class put together I think they and he will be just fine. All the best to you Priest. They always seem to have pretty good classes, so I'll reserve judgement for now. As for Priest, he seems like a great kid and I hope for the best for him. Except for on September 14 next year...I hope Kenny Bell burns him, I hope Jamal Turner breaks his ankles (not literally), and I hope Quincy lays him out!
  19. People people people...calm down. He will be when it's all said and done. Kentucky sucks! He will visit and see that.
  20. Ahhh to be 18..... What do you mean? This is a big time decision...a decision that will affect the rest of his life. The fact that he lied to Bo does bother me a bit....but I still really want this guy and think he would fit in fine here.
  21. Didn't play as a true freshman...he redshirted.
  22. He's actually at #67, so it's even better! No, he's #75 now after their final update. Does rivals actually have some sort of vendetta against us? How he could drop in the rankings is beyond me. I really don't think they have it out against any team in particular, but he isn't as appealing now because he is committed now. Funny how he moves up through the ratings every time until he is ours...
  23. Just getting him in for a visit would be a win I think. Once you get the recruits on campus there is always a chance. Exactly!
