  1. I also like how he tries to take the hook shot in under a second after he catches it, instead of backing the defender down to get an easier lay up or something. Wait a minute that won't work either because he shoots his layups all the way over the hoop to the other side without even touching the rim.
  2. Andre at least works for boards... do you mean ubel? I pretty much mean all of our big men. Andre is the best rebounder for our big men but he is still terrible. At 6'11 310 lbs. you need to get at least AT LEAST 8 rpg or you need to be cut from the team. How can you not get a rebound being that big?
  3. I will destroy that thread. I am fed up with him attempting to play basketball. Saying he is a bad player would be too much of a compliment. He is the WORST!!! And I apologize for invading bball backers thread.
  4. Does anybody know if Andre Almeida and Jorge Brian Diaz go to practice? If so, WTF do they do. Obviously they do not rebound in practice because I'm sure Jacob Pullen could out rebound those wussies. Obviously they do not shoot free throws because they made like one free throw maybe two, idk it was very few. Obviously they do not practice post offense or defense because they cannot make a shot two inches from the hoop, they shoot it over the frickin hoop EVERYTIME! And on defense they get pushed around and give up easy baskets (wasn't the case at the beginning of the game, but sure was at the end). We do not need to fire Doc Sadler, we need to cut Andre Almeida and Jorge Brian Diaz. How the hell they got scholarships to play basketball ANYWHERE is beyond me. They are the worst basketball players in the country. I literally cannot stand watching them play if you haven't figured that out by now. They are a joke to the game of basketball.
  5. K-State is always a tough team but we just can't turn the ball over 10+ more times than they do. If we limit turnovers and second chance points we should definately win this game.
  6. It isn't like they fired Sloan. He retired, he could've stayed if he really wanted to. They did get two good players for Deron though. Harris is a good guard (he's no Deron Williams but still good) and Derrick Favors is a good/young rookie bigman. I believe he will become one of the better bigmen in the league in a couple years. But Sloan retired because of Derron. Just because he officially retired doesn't mean he wasn't forced out. They did get good players for him but the Jazz have been dropping since they start letting their players go. I mean a couple of years ago they had a good team and would've made it to the finals if not for the Lakers. the 97-98 Jazz teams were very good but just ran into a much better team like the Bulls. Too many players give up on teams and want to go to other teams. Didn't you like it when basketball teams didn't need 3 star athletes to have success in the NBA. I'm starting to get sick of big 3's. A team is 12 players not 3. I wish sometimes we basketball could go back to teams like the 76ers w/ Iverson to make the finals or the Bulls w/ MJ. Those were great teams, not just a Big 3. Dude, MJ didn't start winning championships until Pippen got there... I knew you would say that. Pippen is a 7 time All-Star yes, but his career stats 16.1 ppg 6.4 rpg 5.2 apg. Are those All Star numbers? I do not think so. He would not make an all star team in todays game. He is a good team player no doubt about that, in fact he is a great team player. But Scottie Pippen was not a "star" player. Allen Iverson also didn't have a star player with him, he had a bunch of great team players. The 76ers had success when Iverson played for them. They made it to the NBA Finals in 2001 and lost to the lakers (whoooooo!). Even the lakers never needed a Big 3 to win championships. They could do it with 2 and a great supporting cast. That is another reason I love the Lakers. They will beat you no matter how many stars you have. Everyone thinks the Heat will win the NBA Finals this year. But I'll bet my life they don't. Trust me the Lakers will 3-peat.
  7. What the hell? are you serious? He is in the top 5 players. 1. Kobe Bryant 1. LeBron James 3. Kevin Durant 4. Dwayne Wade 5. Carmelo Anthony He is higher on that list for best scorers in the NBA. Plus he can rebound better than anyone the knicks traded for him. He averages 7.6 rpg, that is only one less than Amare. The only bad thing about this trade is that he is not a good defensive player, I'll admit that. The knicks have absolutely no chance at a title this year, but they will make the playoffs (I expect at least to conference semis). Once they get a third star player (most likely going to be Chris Paul) then I think they will make the finals for sure. Maybe not win but they will make the finals in the next couple seasons. 'Melo's better than Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, no f'n way (I'd take Rose, Roy, and Gasol, over him, personally)... I'd take any of those three over Carmelo in a heartbeat... This is the prime reason I can't stand the NBA. 'Melo's such a greedy b*tch, it's going to cost him a championship. They gave up the booty to get a scorer, thats it. If they make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs this year, i'd be shocked. I know they're hedging their bet they can get a point guard during the off season, because do you want the geriatric Billups running your offense?? Yes, I think he is better than Howard personally. Howard is not that good of a scorer unless he is an inch away from the hoop. He is a different type of player though, Howard rebounds and plays defense spectacular and Melo scores whenever he feels like scoring (and probably could play decent defense if he wanted to as well. That is the only thing I don't like about him. But maybe he will change sometime). Amare is also slightly under Melo as well. Melo is a better scorer and just as good at rebounding as Amare is not to mention Melo is quicker than Amare. It's hard comparing point guards to any other player. I would much rather have Chris Paul and Deron Williams more than anyone (except Kobe or LeBron). Point Guards is the coach on the floor. The point guard controls the offense and defense. Of course if you could have the best at the point guard position you would take that over anything. But the Knicks will most likely get CP3 next season sometime. So in that case getting Melo now does not hurt one bit. Besides Chris Paul is the one who had the idea of him, Amare, and Melo playing together in New York in the first place, so I don't know how they wouldn't sign him.

Given the fact that the Nets are hardly ever on TV I think this deal sucks. Love Deron's game.

  12. It is kinda fun at first but then it gets ridiculous after a while. Plus it is a REALLY BIG waste of time.
  13. Yes it is right. Sports are loyal to no one. So why should players be? Why should Carmelo play for a crappier team because his current boss wants to send him there cause he won't hurt the team? The owners are just getting theirs now that's all. Now the players are in control of their own destiny and not in the hands of the owners. How is that bad? I'm not siding with the owners. I'm in favor of letting athletes playing where ever they want to play. I know I was agreeing with you. I don't know why Blaze thought players being in control was bad.
  14. Big 3> Big 2 Just wait until the knicks land CP3 (most likely this off season). Amare, Melo, CP3 > LeBron, Wade, Bosh.

  17. Move over Heat...move over Celtics. Knicks are back.
  18. I can almost here it in the distance. We will need to make noise in the big 12 tourney to get to the dance. We could win every regular season game left and lose in the first game of the tourney and wont get in. All the k-state and missouri games can do for us is give us momentum. We are still a ways away, but we will need to make the speakers go BOOM in the big 12 tourney and then.......then we start corn dancing. :corndance :corndance :corndance :corndance :corndance :corndance
  19. That was a good All Star game. I like it when both teams play with some pride and to prove who has the best players

      The Durantula! Nice dunk.

  21. They didn't call a foul on the shot, the called a foul away from the ball. They counted the basket bc he was in his shooting motion when the foul was called. Terrible call bc the guy was setting a moving screen, but that is why the counted the basket and still got possession. Oh well I guess that makes sense. But still it was really bad job from the officiating crew. Sometimes it seemed the game couldn't go 5 seconds without a foul being called. Did you rush the court? No, the student section was all filled when I got there. I had to sit elsewhere. Kinda pisses me off now that I think of it. Would've been pretty fun to rush the court.
  22. I like how Diaz is on the headlines for yahoo and SI. For maybe about 10% of the game he played good, maybe 10%. For the other 90% it couldn't stand to look at him.

  24. Oh and possibly the worst officiated game ever as well. Whenever there is a shooting foul and the refs count the basket and give Texas back possession instead of shooting a free throw, you know the game was officiated by complete imbecile's.
