  1. I also find it highly unlikely he'll return kicks. He never wowed me enough to remember he was great at it. Plus, he fumbled punts. Maybe it was only once, but it was enough that I remember it.
  2. The article would have been perfectly fine without the comment about QBs. He was being interviewed specifically about Paul, so of course he's going to say nice things. But that comment ruined it and makes me annoyed at both of them. I can't think of any player in the history of any sport I've ever watched that has made me more nervous every time he touched the ball. Gillmore obviously has selective memory, or only takes practices into account.
  3. the most BS part of this post is that there's no way in hell Bo would make someone a starter because they cried.
  4. I'm just curious. I still have the VHS tapes. Unfortunately I just got rid of the TV that had VHS/DVD capability. Guess I'll finally have to get them on DVD. I think I watched them the most from 2004-2007. There, I managed to say when without mentioning his name. It was the only thing that made those years bearable.
  5. It's funny how differently the opposing teams see games, even when they seem reasonable. As a NE fan, I didn't even want to watch the game. It was disgusting that we had to play Washington again. I was bored from the start of it. As all of this was going through my head I knew that the players would feel almost the same, no matter what the coaches said, and before the game started I knew Washington had a good chance to win, even though we annihilated them before. So ya, like others have said, Washington was not a different enough team to turn a 30ish point loss around. I don't care how good your arguments are I doubt it will. Everyone knew how important that game was. It was THE game of the season. It was too much pressure. Washington is no comparison. (IMO, psychology is 50% of the game, especially with 18-22 year olds). That's why terrible teams can beat great ones. That's why college football is fun.
  6. I really don't understand why everyone keeps talking about experience. No matter how much experience Green got, he was never good and showed no signs of improvement, imho. Experience means nothing when you're not any better after two years of it. Sure, he was nice. But that isn't helpful when you're trying to win games. Anyway, I was surprised that they didn't decide right after last season to try to move him to a different position. Maybe he didn't want to, though. Dunno.
  7. I have mixed feelings about this for the same reasons most people do - everyone making piles of money off of the kids except for the kids. However, I call BS on them actually needing the extra money. I say this as someone who is attending UNL right now with grants and loans, and I don't have a job. I have no trouble paying for the stuff I need, and I'm not frugal. If they're running out of money it's probably because they're spending it on things they don't need, or as someone else said, they're supporting their family. (And in that case it's sad that that's on their shoulders)
  8. ah, dont take it so hard. they make everyone sound like a fool. I'm not taking it too hard, heh.
  9. I've never been more thankful that I don't post under my real name
  10. He and his family took a vacation to Egypt. He cannot get back bc of the riots. And they shut down the internet, so he has to do his teleconference from King Tuts tomb. I lol'd
  11. Awesome. What'd they say? Or does it just sound funny when it's read out loud? . I looked on the website and I don't see a way to listen to stuff that's already been on the air.
  12. I guess I'm hanging out at the wrong places. =oP
  13. That entered my mind later, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it considering I had about two seconds to decide what my earth-shattering words would be. (I recognized him about half a second before he turned to walk into the alley to get his car, so I didn't have a block's worth of walking to think of what to say).
  14. There isn't much to this but a. I'd never met him before and I've wanted to for 20+ years b. I'm still really hyper so I have to post it I live off campus and I was walking to school and this thin tall older man walked out of a store, but I only saw his back at first so my first thought was "He looks a lot like Tom Osborne." But you don't expect to see him walking around. At least, I don't. So I didn't really think it was him, and I was too scared to say anything in case it was just some random guy. But then I saw his reflection in a shop window and since his profile is easy to recognize I was certain I probably wouldn't have said anything but there was no one within a block of us so it wasn't going to draw a bunch of attention, so I said "Hi, Tom" and he asked me how I was doing
  15. That Field Goal might end up being huge. Not just because of the 3 points. I was totally dejected, now I'm so-so.
  16. I'll miss Henery the most but Gomes' interception against Texas was one of the coolest plays I've ever seen.
  17. then when asked for comment, Brent Musburger said he thought that it was fair. If you think you've seen Bo Pelini mad you haven't seen anything yet.
  18. I hope he starts at Center. That would really throw them off.
  19. I was impressed with Cody but when I watch highlights it looks like half his passes would have been intercepted by Oklahoma.
  20. can we shut the hell up with this crap? There are at least 3 other threads about this. Just go reply to one of those.
  21. haha. (I never even thought about that tbh)
  22. Alright. You lost a bunch of points with me by making this topic, but now I'm dying of laughter so we have a fresh start again.
  23. I'm really going to worry about some yelling after what happened in 1995.
