It's funny how differently the opposing teams see games, even when they seem reasonable. As a NE fan, I didn't even want to watch the game. It was disgusting that we had to play Washington again. I was bored from the start of it. As all of this was going through my head I knew that the players would feel almost the same, no matter what the coaches said, and before the game started I knew Washington had a good chance to win, even though we annihilated them before.
So ya, like others have said, Washington was not a different enough team to turn a 30ish point loss around. I don't care how good your arguments are
I doubt it will. Everyone knew how important that game was. It was THE game of the season. It was too much pressure. Washington is no comparison. (IMO, psychology is 50% of the game, especially with 18-22 year olds). That's why terrible teams can beat great ones. That's why college football is fun.
