  1. I may be feeling the same vibe brotha. The Hobbi decision to bail to USC I think adds to NU's odds of landing him. Add in the fact that Bo is in home tonight only makes the felling stronger. The only thing that could top it is if Erickson or the ASU staff sneaks in tomorrow, because after that it quiet(30th) and the dead(31-3) periods. The final talks may close this deal. The only way Peat could shock me is if he Darian Bryant's the decision and chooses OSU from way out of left field. Don't see it happening at all, but who knows. I am with you though, 60-40 NU Nebula-thanks for the the props. The best thing you can do here is not be afraid to ask questions and speak up when ya got a tip, hint, feeling, gas, whatever. Erickson also saw Peat today. Dennis Erickson or Bo Pelini for a defensive player? I'll take BO for $2000 Alex...uh... I mean Aspeedlin4589
  2. I'm going to say it will be Marvin Sanders or Tim Beck, but most likely Coach Sanders. Marvin Sanders it is...Close the deal! Tim Beck and John Papuchis? have fought off the Arkansas charge ......... he's still !!!!! Santos and CJ finished a photo shoot for the National Recruits, if I get a pic I'll post it!!! Great to hear Archie. Both have very bright futures here at NU. Now don't make your stay here on the board just be because that your two boys are now Huskers! We accept you into HuskerNation if you are not in it already! Thanks and I accept ......
  3. Bo is no different from Saban, UCLA Head Coach, Will Muschamp, Bob Stoops, and so on!!! Cameras caught whats been going on on sidelines for years IMO. I do agree however that you must FINISH STRONG!!! Nebraska has an opportunity to contend for the BIG10 title and MNC next year, that's the open window to make it happen and have next year and the following year to have recruits jumpin to come join the Big Red Machine!!!!! With that said.......Charles Jackson has cemented his commit today with Coach Beck and JP while visiting the school and home!

  5. I was told it happened today and it was Petrino and another coach. They have been going hard at this kid since he committed and not backing down, they want him bad for Petrino to come try and close. Word is Beck and JP coming this week. I said from the beginning NU has ground to makeup as far as relationships even though he committed, this may come to NSD, IMO.
  6. Good luck to the young man!
  7. Goose bumps when you see this defense come to you!!! Packed house ever night, we're gon miss Jackson and Santos!! Treat them well in Lincoln!!!
  8. This..... Can't beat the elite teams in BIG 10 without some sort of passing attack. This is why you have to finish stong in the season. IMO, Patrick O would already be here and that would be the first step at getting athletic WR. I'm sure Bo has a plan coming next season, I hope.
  9. Good get for the BIG RED MACHINE they call !!
  10. OMG! Ranked 92 in the country. Okay wtf was up with the Cotton Bowl game? I guess they came to play, caused it looked good. NU ranked 35 per USA Today.
  11. Thanks for the reply, but that O looked good against A&M. I think that is the style to bring to the BIG 10. Need to blend a little SEC in the mix, IMO.
  12. I was watching the LSU/A&M game last night and couldn't help but think, why can't Nebraska adapt this offense? They run the ball about 75% of the time and it would bring balance to the offense, but why did Gary Crowton resign from LSU and is now the OC at Maryland?
  13. CJ is putting his critics to rest: http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=9&c=4&yr=2011&pid=88
  14. The biggest problem I think is his GPA. We wouldn't have to worry about all this "sum" stuff if his GPA would have been better and the only reason that was bad is mainly because of his frosh year of high school. He did very poor and the school he was at then let him fall through the cracks. When he got to a school that they actually checked on him at and he started to turn it around he was so deep it was hard for him to pull up the GPA. Also, I would bet money he has some sort of learning disability that hasn't been totally taken care of right. So, before bagging on the kid let's take into consideration not everyone is really smart and may have hurdles in learning. No reason to give up on a kid as long as he is proving he is trying. The coaches know what's going on so i'll put my faith in them on whether or not he is putting forth the effort. And as I've said before, if he can actually get here he can probably finally get the help he needs and eventually get a degree. Everyone always talks about the academic all americans, but for everyone of those there are hundreds of kids who would have never thought they could get a degree that do and changes there life forever. I'm sorry CNRed but that doesn't really work. If it was bc/ of a bad freshmen year, then the better schooling he got during soph, junior, and senior years would make him the kind of thinker/ learner that would allow him to get above the bare minimum on the ACT. If that is not the case then the GPA is hollow numbers. I work with lots of kids that have learning disabilities and multiple hurdles. I can't help but feel there is something else going on here. If he was really trying to prove himself as you say, he could get a better than BARE MINIMUM score in the whole extra year he had to get here. I agree about your all-americans vs. graduates statement but for every one of those is a student who was brought to campus, whose eligibility was exhausted and deep down the staff knew they probably never really could finish school. You remind me of someone who couldn't play sports! You know the kid that gets pissed when he sees an athlete get ahead when they didnt work for it, and you work kids with learning disabilities and multiple hurdles. What would you suggest Braylon do if this was a kid you worked with?
  15. That was BRILLIANT!! I hope you all listen to this message. If you don't understand it, then you have lost your imagination. Just like some of our youth, IMO Braylons artistic talent is football and our system is taking that away from him and others. I loved what he said about ADHD, very true. Thanks for that post!

I agree about your all-americans vs. graduates statement but for every one of those is a student who was brought to campus, whose eligibility was exhausted and deep down the staff knew they probably never really could finish school. Well even though you think something else might be going on, you, me, nor anyone else on this board actually know what's going on in his life or academics. Really know reason not to give him a chance. If he doesn't get the scores then he doesn't and will have to move on, but if he gets the scores and makes it I say welcome him with conditions that he stays hard on top of his academics! Really doesn't hurt too bad if he can't make it until fall camp which is when most frosh come in anyway. I just don't understand the move on, he's stupid, and not worth the time thing especially coming from a teacher!! I actually have more respect for this kid trying his damnest to get into the school he committed to more than the ones who commit then decommit and go somewhere else. +1... I and others dont see the need for these ACT/SAT scores, it's a joke. The problem, IMO, is that some parents do not know about this CORE GPA until it's too late for their kid. You think you have a 3.0 GPA then you find out that's not the GPA you check, it's CORE GPA then you race against time to fix it. Some teachers/counselors don't help either, they try and push the kid to JUCO because theirs an incentive for the schools, but a small portion of kids will try to climb that hill like Mr. Heard is trying to do and others. These kids need help to get the American Dream too. I'm gonna get off my soap box, but what really pisses me off is that a criminal/murderer/rapist/etc. can get a better education in prison, but a kid can't get into a good college behind some test not GPA...a test....no child left behind my ass.....what happen to America!
  17. Did you offer his mom a job too? You know it buddy. ......................
  18. Not to mention the fact that half of our recruits, on D for sure, would love to follow him to LSU... THIS...
  19. His blocking ability is great for his size too even against LB's.
  20. He had one pretty good move on one of his returns! This kid has "RAW TALENT", think of what and where he'll be with the Bo and Sanders!! The EAST only went to his side ONCE!! And IMO, if the return team was blocking like they cared.....OMG!! Nugget below: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1174177 i wont bring up the what if but what if............ ? .... what if what? you know .....that. OOOOOoooooooo that thing!
