  1. I am personally excited about using the "bones" for defense. Not so sure how I feel about Herbie though.
  2. My aunt got this e-mail from someone who is close at the university regarding our uniforms next year and Scott Frost. * Adidas is planning to start a new line in order to compete with the Nike Pro Combat and we will be receiving some of the first stuff. You may have noticed some of this with Kinnie and his pants. * In addition to the uniform changes to be unveiled next season we will be introducing helmet stickers similar to what the Buckeyes and Seminoles do. The defense will receive the 'Bones' and the offense will get a small 'Herbie' sticker. They won't be able to get too many though to avoid cluttering the helmet. * There no plans to change the helmets though, other than the above stated changes. No stupid Oregon stuff. Some possible changes are coming on the offensive side of things too if Watson is to take the Vanderbilt job...we are planning to hire Scott Frost as our offensive coordinator as he is looking to ride the success of Oregon this year. If Scott does not get the job, look for us to bring in Rob Phenicie from UNLV. He is doing some good things there. Also on the recruiting end of things, I am receiving word from my Texas sources that Aaron Green may be switching schools soon and committing to either Texas or Auburn now. We'll have to let this one play out and let the dust settle on any coaching changes. That is all for now!
  3. What was everyone's take on the press conference? It wasn't anything too spectacular. Pelini did what he had to do and now it's time to move on. Even though I don't necessarily disagree with Pelini's actions on Saturday, it was good for the school that he came out and apologized.
  4. I'm excited. First NU game of the year for me. Coming up from Little Rock to see family and to watch the Huskers live.
  5. Thanks for letting me know who that was. I was curious.
  6. It's debatable if Pelini should have waited until half time to handle this in the locker room but I'm tired of people saying he yells at the players too much. I was in the Marine Corps. Before I joined, I knew there would be yelling but I still joined. When you decide to play high school, collegiate, or pro football, you know damn well that your coach is going to yell at you.
  7. This was taken from Better Off Red: http://betteroffred.fantake.com/2010/11/21/did-taylor-call-his-dad-during-the-am-game/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter With a little amateur lip reading and jumping back and forth, it appears that Bo stormed up to Martinez and said this: “If you f'ing call your dad on the f'ing field during a game again it’ll be the last f'ing thing you ever do. Now get your f'ing ass [out/down/out of?] here mother fu&*#r.” Note that Bo also popped back for a few more words right after the first berating (and right before ABC showed the replay) at the 8:03 mark. We couldn’t see what Bo said that time, but we did clearly see what Taylor muttered in Bo’s general direction after he walked away: “f'ing bitch.” The video below captures most of this, but is too grainy to be very helpful — if someone has better video please share. Here's the YouTube.
  8. On the PI call that ended up being taken away: How often does one referee overrule another for pass interference? Not very but when it does, it's usually because it was determined the ball was not-catchable. This was clearly not the case. I'm like many of you in terms of the officials being against us this year. I didn't buy into it one bit until last night.
  9. Posted this earlier but do we want this guy back to defend our players against bullsh#t calls?
  10. When is the officiating crew announced?
  11. Do we want a coach who sticks up for his players after terrible calls or this one???
