Exactly. You cannot say that you want to play in the NFL and then say you only wanna play in warm weather. Better hope Buffalo doesnt draft you!
-
I thinks its silly that a recruit would choose weather over tradition and facilities. If a recruit does that, we don't want them anyway. Floridian cant handle cold, but they can handle humidity. Nebraskans can handle cold, but not humidity. WHO CARES?!! Great players wanna be somewhere because of the culture/environment. Not the forecast. Id bet good money that Frost wouldn't recruit a kid who would complain about the weather to the extent that it would affect their recruiting decision.

I opened this thread in the hopes that it would be a pun/play on our new head coaches last name. It is not.

** Scott Frost megathread all things SF***

The "Scott Frost Thread"....the gift that keeps on giving this holiday season. -
I think Husker nation might want to prepare for "not getting Frost". I dont say that because of the article, I am with most of you when you say its just a local writer hoping that Frost says. I think that ultimately UCF fans/media & UNL fans/media will have zero impact on his decision. I think Frost doesn't want to be like other coaches, hopping from job to job. I think there is a strong chance that he stays UCF. I would be surprised if he lesves for UNL or UF. With that said, I hope he comes back to Nebraska.

I second this -
AS a former college football coach, I will never be on board with any QB that has 3 games with more than 3 interceptions. A lot of those balls were ill-advised throws. Arm talent he has, but do you know what "moxie" means? He lacks greatly in "moxie". He is definitely eye candy...looks good in a uniform and has a big arm, but he lacks it between the ears. I wish him well, but the production is just not there. Also, STOP making excuses for him and STOP blaming the O-line. So many times he could have slid one direction or the other but because he lacks pocket presence he cannot keep his eyes downfield and feel pressure. Thats bad quaterbacking 101.

My top 5 1. Scott Frost 2. Scott Frost 3. Scott Frost 4. Les Miles 5. Bob Stoops ( not likely )

Member what Oregon State fans told us when Riley was hired?
boach_clack replied to HuskerMav11's topic in Husker Football
I think we would all rather be anywhere but here. I agree with you that Riley makes no sense, but rather has a prepared Frost than one that is beat up and run out of town. With that said, I think they get him here. Then what will you complain about? LOL -

I agree that Riley was not the right fit culturally. I would never argue that point. But like most Husker Fans, I thought I would give him a chance. We dont want to be that school that hires and fires after a season and a half. The road back to greatness is long. We may even be jumping the gun on Frost now. Remember, we dont just get Frost, we get his young staff too. Not all of them have experience in a Power 5 Conference. With that said, I think the culture of a coach is far more important than scheme. We missed culture on the last few hires. I think Moos gets it. -

Frost was not ready to be a head coach at UNL. UCF was a good level for him. -

I think this was an easy one, dont pat yourself on the back too hard. Also, its pretty easy to predict doom and gloom. -
Hell....No!

so basically we can got 12-0 or 0-12? Got it! bring on the season. #AnalyticsMakeMyHeadHurt

Glad to hear Bradley is doing well! Begs the question, why is there no clear cut #1 that is a veteran?

I think it will all come down to the Defense and the QB play. If Tanner Lee is able to control possession and defense doesnt give up big plays, we should be in position to win a few games. With that said, 9-3 is pretty lofty. Im thinking 8-4.

Ryker Fyfe Broken Wrist - Armstrong still out...
boach_clack replied to boach_clack's topic in Husker Football
Burning POB's redshirt would be an absolute waste. We are trying to promote competition at the QB position. Think about this, if we burned his redshirt, he would be a soph competing against Tanner Lee. Lets say he loses (which is highly likely against a senior), he would go in to Fall 2018 as a junior. Let that sink in. -

Iowa is not a team to be taken lightly. They have a good head coach, and a very tough defense. We have struggled with good defenses this year. You dont look past Iowa, ever. Ask Michigan. -

Are you referring to Patrick O'Brien? I was referring to Zac Darlington. I cant imagine this group would burn O'Briens red shirt for a win against Iowa. -

I just dont know if he has enough experience playing with a quirky injury like that. Do you go with the younger guy who is healthy if you can get him a good game plan this week?
