  1. Just worried already that our offense is going to be 3 and out and defense on field most of game...
  2. I had a dream last night that TO was still coaching and we beat Wisconsin 55-17 to win the Big Ten Conference and capped an 11-1 regular season with a BCS bowl invite. Did it through a punishing run-oriented offense, tireless defense and coaches making changes at half-time so we dominated the last two quarters. Then I woke up:(
  3. Was so pumped for this season, counting the days till the first game, etc. But I can't take much more of this. When ESPN2 didn't have the game at first, I barely cared. When it came on, I watched but wasn't even that excited. We have no identity, make so many mental mistakes, our offensive play calling is a joke, Bo is embarrassing, etc. etc. Time for some kind of change. We will lose 4-5 games this year and that's just hard to swallow...
  4. Funny, but you are right. We were used to maybe (maybe) losing a big game to Oklahoma or Colorado each year but for the most part, we dominated games and especially the 2nd half of games as TO was a master at adjusting. We are a 2nd or maybe 3rd tier team in college footage now. Won't even be in the Top 25 next week and we are sure to lose 2-3 more games this year. And next year? More of the same. Start fresh with all sorts of excitement, play some pansies and build a fake record and then lose to good teams. A bad cycle to be in.
  5. got place some blame on the play-calling and our offensive strategy, some of the plays they run make you want to scream. I am not sure they allow Taylor to really excel much...
  6. I'm wondering if this is why Osborne wasn't involved in the hiring. Have a hard time seeing TO firing Bo so the new AD might have an interesting first year on his/her hands...
  7. I try not to overreact but I am finally tired of Pelini. I think it's time to search for a new coach and staff. I have been rooting for the Big Red since 1978 and this is just unacceptable. We all know it's easy to say, "Wait till next year when we have a softer schedule..." but we all know we will find a way to lose 3-4 like we always do under Pelini. TO never lost more than 3 games in 25+ years. Sure things have changed since then but this is just embarrassing. Ugh.
  8. rushing stat is a bit mis-leading with the Martinez 98-yarder, besides that we didn't do a whole lot with the exception of a drive or two...Cross didn't even make it into the game and Beck had Martinez throwing more even as he started struggling more...ugh!
  9. I agree too, well said. But if we can all see that they should go back to the run in the 2nd half with Martinez struggling and the o-line breaking down, why doesn't the coaching staff? That last drive was all penalties, we barely moved the ball...
  10. I think we are fortunate to have not lost by 3 TD's or more, we played so poorly on both sides of the ball. Just sad:( Definitely missing some stars on D and our offense becomes predictable, rushed and ineffective. Some big penalties gave us more years than our actual offense...
  11. Couldn't have said it better myself. A loss comes with sports, but when you see a team making the same mistakes it's disheartening. You just want to reach into the TV and shake the coaching staff for their play calls and doing the same thing over and over again:(
  12. I can live with losing a game but losing by so many missed tackles, our o-line playing so horrible, Martinez reverting back to his old-self, the defense playing well in spurts but then just falling apart, and the coaching was awful, so many mistakes and such a waste of a game. Sad.
  13. Agreed. And the score was not even indicative of the game, they killed us pretty much in everything. I am embarrassed.
  14. Agree on Whaley Yeah, Whaley missed a couple of important tackles, but did pick up the fumble. He needs to wrap the guy up and not just dive in with his helmet:(
  15. That Jeannine Edwards is hot. Oh, and Taylor Martinez has stepped up his game 200% ... wow!
  16. Loved Taylor's post-game interview, "I did okay." What a great line, the reporter was like, "Really?" One heck of a game!
  17. He's playing football for a living. He's kind of a big deal in that league as well, so I guess all those fans care. They make an average of $221k per season, so I would take it. Highest paid players make like $7500 a week. Those salary numbers are from the Arena league that existed a few years back, today's AFL is waaaaay different as they went a year with no season (2009) and the league is barely able to stay around each year. Players today make anywhere from $400 to $1000 per game, so we talking maybe $16,000 for the whole season, plus living expenses or apartments. The players are not happy and threatened to strike at the start of the season and a few teams walked out, but in the end, they played but for these very low salaries. Here in AZ, the Rattlers used to command 12,000-18,0000 people per game and were the talk of the town, this season they were lucky to get 8000 to their games and they just won the Arena League Title (3rd time) and no one cares here, barely made the newspaper. So times have changed unfortunately.
  18. Agree. You have a responsibility to do interviews and his conduct is classless. Take out your frustrations at practice and prepare a better gameplan.
  19. Fire Bo threads begin...can't argue right now as I feel sick. Just a disgusting game. Poorly coached, poorly played. Unreal:(
  20. 0-2 in last two bowl games and very uninspired play from both sides of the ball. Coaches? Players? Ugh!
  21. No, not happy at all. Depressed actually and don't see how next year will be any better...
