  1. Is blood thicker then textbook? It definitely is in your family Rollin'Rock. (It's "than") // Sorry. I just couldn't repress the grammar Nazi in me on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9UZ0jGbwEQ
  2. Looking to start a campaign for a spot in the Huskerboard 2012 starting lineup....Anybody wanna temporarily control my "superpac"?

Coors Light>Miller Lite....Everyone knows that. The spelling of Miller "Lite" alone is enough for NUance to go with Coors....

  3. Is blood thicker then textbook? No, but the oppurtunity to play with Todd and Avery will be too much to pass up. So blood is thicker? Ok I'm done.... I agree with you, I can't imagine a athlete turning down a chance to play with his brother, and cousin.... Assuming the relationships are good, and in this instance, they seem to be....
  4. I think we are full at LB, unless the staff wants to make room. Given the complete lack of depth/talent at the position, if he wants in we take him, right? Shark hit the nail on the head, he picked Rutgers not because of Schiano. Their class structure worked better for his major than ours did. A big time athlete with a good head on his shoulders? Gotta respect it....
  5. Wait? He is wanting to be an engineering major??

  7. Does he make the switch to N? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7505668/tampa-bay-buccaneers-close-hiring-rutgers-scarlet-knights-greg-schiano-coach-sources-say
  8. Whoa, I'm talking about commits man, and westerkamp doesn't have the greatest offers either. Just chill a little bit dude, I didn't mean anything negative by my comment...just wondering what everyone else thought. However its ok, I forgive you for over reacting to my comment. Didnt mean to be confrontational, I understand your concern. In your OP you said " guys we were recruiting"...
  9. You're right, nobody wants Peat, Westerkamp, Seisay, Armstrong, Rose, Fuller, Valentine, Curry, Cross, Bourque, Moore, Shelton, Ford, etc.... Yeah, nobody wants them.... I get what you're saying, but as fans we have to trust the coaches.
  10. Nothing wrong with getting another great athlete on campus, and I dont think it means we missed out on other prospects necessarily.... Some of you (redtillimdead) are making wild assumptions....
  11. He could very well commit while he is visting, the staff have been pushing AC and VV to commit. Do we take both if they want N? yes I would be ok with it with our low numbers thus far, but it still baffles me how we don't have any other WR targets (off topic I know)....

  13. Well I don't have any stats, but Heard hardly saw the field after the first 4 or 5 games, if ever. But from what I saw, he is more physically mature and more natural hitting the holes and following blockers. I think he runs the most like Rex. I definitely agree with you though. Green showed a couple of times this year that he could be a super flashy player for us. I just hope he gets a little more confidence and runs with authority. Would love to see him make a statement in the spring game. I'd like to see Green put on about 15 lbs. or so.... He has a good frame for a RB, and his build looks like a mini Trent Richardson.... I'd love to see him put on some more muscle, while maintaining his playmaker ability.... I'd compare him more to LaMichael James. I'm just not sure if Aaron has a ceiling anywhere near James' though. Well in Green's defense I don't think he had the opportunity as a Freshman that James did at Oregon.... LaMichael James is great, but would he have been so successful his first year if he had Burkhead in front of him? It's hard to say so or not, but with Burkhead his playing time would have been much less his first year at Oregon....

  15. Probably just remembering from early in the year. Abdullah was the KR from day one but it was Green and Heard who were in the backfield quite a bit more early in the season. Later in the year, you saw more of Abdullah back there. As of now, I'd say AA is #2 but he didn't start out that way. I also seem to remember that there is a legit possibility AA is asked to change positions this Spring. I expect A.Green to make a big jump in the race for playing time next year. They are all talented, but A.Green looks the part to me. He's gonna have to learn to run behind his blocks better. I honestly thought Heard looked like the best RB of the 3 freshmen because he had a feel for that aspect of the position. Hopefully Aaron Green learns because he could really be a home rum hitter for us for the next 3 years. I agree with your assessment on Green's need for improvement of following his blockers better. It is funny how there are so many different opinions on the three frosh RB's.... I think all three have a lot of potential, but I was least impressed with Heard. What seperates them for me is the fact that Abdullah, and Green seem to be big time "playmakers"....I think A.Green is just too talented not to be successful at this level.
  16. Just letting people know he's smart is all This is how you do that........

  18. I'd top it with ice cream myself (strawberry)!
  19. I think it is going to be a lot closer between Stanford, and NU then some people seem to think.... Stanford has alot of appeal outside of football, and their football program has been alright too....
  20. Hopefully his life is still celebrated when he passes, but with all of the circumstances at Penn St. I don't think he will be celebrated quite as much on a national level.... Prayers to the Paterno family....
