You guys are really, really good at track n field.... one top 10 season doesnt put you on par with Nebraska.... It puts on par with Mich St., or Texas Tech..

Daddy is now pushing for ND but of course he'll support the kid no matter what. Thats a lot of pressure, hope he sticks with us....

Assuming a RS with our current WR depth, magic will only be throwing to him for one year, more then likely he will be with armstrong/fuller for his career. This was in the context of "2001 Miami would kill 1971 Nebraska." Of course they would - the athletes are entirely different. But the same argument goes for 1971 Nebraska - put them against the best teams of the 1940s and they would easily destroy them. The difference in athletes is obvious from generation to generation. But has there been that big of a growth in the "athlete" since 95-96. Obviously what I am getting at is..... How would the 95 Huskers fair against LSU this year? I don't know why people keep taking that line out of context. The comparison isn't between recent teams, it's between teams with significant time-gaps between them. I understood what you were saying, but 95 was 16 years ago....I was just curious if people thought that the athlete has changed much in the past 16 years. Crouch was a better runner.... neither could throw to save their lives.... Frazier was the better player, because he had that "Tebow" factor; or Tebow has the "Frazier" factor....

Crouch wasn't a rah-rah guy, but he led by example his senior year, and carried that team on his back. Without Crouch that team would have been one of the worst teams we would had in a long time. Aside from Crouch, that time really was disappointing.... As far as the Frost vs. Crouch debate, I don't even see how its close, Eric easily. Frost was great, but Crouch would have been even more effective on that 97 championship squad.

This seems like as good of a time as any to point out that Iowa sucks....

I understand everyone's frustrations with Pederson's time here at Nebraska, and I wanted him gone as much as anybody, BUT all of the "hate" against him is ridiculous in my opinion. I doubt he was trying to hire bad coaches at Nebraska, and make bad decisions. Was he best for Nebraska? No. But does he deserve to be hated by a whole state? No. Part of me feels bad for the guy because he was a Nebraska boy, and that has to be hard for him to know that he let his whole state down, and sent the Nebraska football program down a bad path, that we are just now coming out of. I would assume that most of us are from Nebraska. Can you imagine if you were responsible for the demise of Nebraska Football? That would be gut-wrenching as a native of the great state.

I'll never understand some kids love affair with Notre Dame....Average Football program at best.... They play Mich. St, Michigan, Standford, USC, every year, and then a bunch of scrubs. On top of that, most years Mich. St. and Stanford are mediocre at best.... Notre Dame might be the most overhyped thing in football....along with Kirk Ferentz....
