  5. Im going with AG but I think Heard will be pretty good once he gets experience.
  6. I had no idea that there are other universities seals. That is really cool. Are they going to build a new track and field stadium or are they just putting in a new track? Are they going to cover up the university seals that are on the stadium?
  7. If your a resident of Kansas, look at SB 401. The goal of the bill is to give instate tuition to honorably discharged veterans, The State of Kansas senate voted the bill down but we will continue to push this issue.

It is not as important a bill at this time compared to a bill that they are grappling with, which is to end giving illegal immigrants instate tuition if they attended a Kansas high school. I just want to help out the veterans who have given so much.

Whether it's "important" or not, they still could have voted for it and moved on to the immigrant issue. Seems like a dumb politician excuse.

If they want to fix something go after the Veterans Association....I put my tuition charges to in state to save the gov 40K they charged me 2 grand because the said they overpaid Kansas State University.....

  8. For some reason, Johnelle doesnt worry me as much as Bobby did... I agree, With only a contract that extends to next season does not look good in the eyes of recruits, since they want a coach to be there when they get there. I don't believe Arky will keep Smith after this season. I really do not think Arky will be anything spectacular this year. While reading Chancellor Perlman's interview with Shatel, Perlman states,• On frequently extending coaches' contracts: “That is almost inherent in the system we have. You owe an obligation to your coach, as long as he's your coach, to give him the tools he needs to do the job. And right now, one of those tools is a long-term contract. They can't recruit without it. That's the way it is. It's the price of doing business.”http://bigredtoday.com/article/20120511/BIGRED/705119810#shatel-perlman-s-a-school-leader-good-sport
  9. Congratulations to James Dobson for his achievement. From The Republic out of Columbus, Indiana LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska football strength coach James Dobsonis being named Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Dobson and 14 other strength coaches will be honored at the association's national conference next Thursday in Orlando, Fla. http://www.therepubl...Strength-Coach/
  10. Are the two 2012 CSU basketball signees going to follow Coach Miles to NU?
  11. and...... I'm confused by your answer. It should not depend on the conference, when it comes to my exact question.
  12. While reading the article on Urban Meyer, I came across a factoid in the article stated that Muschamp is 14 scholarships short of the maximum of 85. Due to the fact a team can only give 25 scholarships a year, can a team like Forida, who are 14 scholarships short of the max, give more scholarships since they are under the maximum?
  13. Are we recruiting him for the offensive or defensive side of the ball?
  14. Do we have a LB commit that might not make it because of grades? (Afalava?) If so, wouldn't the coaches still take him if he wants to change to Nebr?
  15. He is a assistant head coach and passing game coordinator for Johnson Smith Univ. in NC. I don't think that he would be eligible to be a GA since he is already a college coach.
  16. If schools are allowed 4 GA's then Nebraska could conceivably make a "Splash Hire" (I hate saying that) and pay out the big bucks, leave one assistant position open as motivation for the GA's to work their way into the position. That leaves me to believe, Im probably wrong though, that Bo has some GA who is worthy to become a assistant coach when the time is right. Any thoughts?

There is no gravity - the Earth sucks (well Texass does enough for the entire planet)

I do agree with huKSer. He has the best answer after all. I do not know what Brace Labs is.

  18. Nice pick up, I never thought about that. Since, grad assistants cannot go out on the recruiting trail then either two things have happened: 1. Papuchis will be the next DC; leaving one spot for a graduate assistant to move into a full time assistant coach. This would mean as stated above that Marrow will be our TE coach and Papuchis will be our DC. OR 2. Since we lost our DC, Nebraska might have asked for a petition from the NCAA to have Marrow go out and recruit, thus placing a interim tag next to his name, since our coaching staff has one available spot. If I had a gun to my head and had to pick to see which one is more plausible my answer would be number 1; but who knows....
  19. The only losers tomorrow will be the victims and their families.
  20. Not only is this idea of boycotting ludicrous but just downright wrong; If we boycott the game, we are the ones who forfeit the game, not them and that would get everyone nowhere.
  21. I know this is a little bit off the discussion going on in this thread; Do you think they should keep Paterno's name on the Big 10 Championship game trophy? I personally have the opinion that the Big 10 should take his name off the trophy because of his role in the coverup. Opinions?
  22. I personally do not think Paterno should coach again this season and he should just go into immediate retirement. He might not be legally responsible for what happened but he is morally responsible for the crimes since he knew about them and failed in his duty as a fellow human-being to report a child being molested by a monster to the authorities. Even though he is not legally responsible, he could still be sued by the victims or families of the victims as he and all the others involved, including the GA who found the young child being raped. If the families of the victims or the victims themselves take him to civil court, he and all the others still are liable for what happened. These families need to find a great tort lawyer and sue all those involved in the coverup even Penn St. itself. Huskercat
