I'm really starting to wonder how the University adds attendance up. Considering there were less people at the game today than last week, yet more recorded per the announced attendance.

There were 85,181 at last week's game, 84,078 at yesterday's.

oops...............even so, I've never seen so many open seats, especially in the red ones. Of course the rich people can't sit out in the rain

It could be snowing, raining, or a tornado could be blowing through. That wouldn't stop me from seeing my beloved Huskers!

me and the wife obviously ain't rich, we sat out there in the rain and when we left we didn't have any dry spots on us.

they probably take into account somehow the number of SOLD tickets as opposed to the number of tickets actually used. In other words, people who buy the tickets but don't use them.

No, That’s not the case. Those numbers have nothing to do with the actual number of tickets sold. The tickets sold = sell out every time. The numbers they post during the game are actual attendance numbers. Eric I know what you mean about the open seats, I was in my seat before the rain started and stayed for the whole game. I was warring a t-shirt and jeans and let me just say 100% cotton is not the way to go in those conditions.

I was in mine the whole game as well. It made me mad seeing all those open red seats. I will take them if you don't want them. Still a fun game for myself though.

i was sitting under cover and was completley dry

I was underneath the balcony in west stadium but couldn't see the big screen so I moved up to the balcony and sat in the rain for the entire fourth quarter. There were not many people left up there during the fourth.

I stayed fry for most of the game. My pants got wet, but the rest of me was under the overhang.
