So i am sure i'm not the only one that was saying this last year.

"If we had a good TE this offense could get rolling"

Well, last season we didn't have a single TD completion to a TE, this year....welll there is a difference.

TOTAL 2005

------------------Rec.------YDS---AVG--Long----TD

J.B. Phillips------15--------108----7.2----22-----0

Clayton Sievers--6---------39-----6.5----11----0

Josh Mueller------1---------18----18.0---18----0

TOTAL------------22--------165----7.5----22-----0

Cumulative through 4 games in 2006

-------------------Rec.----YDS------AVG----Long--TD

Matt Herian--------8-----135-------16.9-----36---2

J.B. Phillips---------7-------41--------5.9-----10----2

Hunter Teafatiller-1-------29-------29.0-----29---1

Josh Mueller-------3-------18-------6.0-------8----1

TOTAL-------------19-----223-------11.7-----36----6

Stats like this can mean a lot of things. Our Oline is better this year so we can use our TE's for passes? Our TE's are just better this year? And I think it is obviously both of the above. And as these guys keep putting up points and making catches Defenses have 1....hell, looks like 4 more things to worry about. They brought Callahan in for a reason, to win championships, and getting a high powered offense that can do EVERYTHING is a good step towards a shot a the title.
