OKCHusker
How does Brady Quinn beat out Troy Smith for POY in college football. I know the Heisman is the real award, but I still DONT understand how he gets the Maxwell???? Smith's stats are just as good if not better than Quinns. Quinn - 2 losses; Smith - undefeated. These awards are ridiculous in my opinion!!!!!! Explain?? Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
I still think Smith is going to get the Heisman though.......... Quote Link to comment
DJR313
The Maxwell is usually the consolation prize for the guy that doesn't get the Heisman. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
Smith just needs to be sure he isn't a victim of the Heisman jinx. Crouch was hit with it, Jason White was hit with it, Reggie Bush was hit with it. I think Leinart has been the only player in a few years to win the Heisman and the MNC in the same year. Pedro Guerrero
without smith OSU loses 6 or more possibly Come on 6 or more games without this guy? Their defense is pretty good as is the rest of their offense. Troy Smith is good but he should go down as one of the most average players to win the Heisman.IMO Best player on the best team is all this amounts to. Nothing more nothing less. BIGREDIOWAN
It seems like it comes down to who's undefeated and playing in the championship game................that's all that matters................personally I would have liked to see the Arkansas RB get it........... Quote Link to comment
