tattooedhusker
above someone stated "look at Zac Taylor, he had heart, not the most talented but smart, blah blah blah" It speaks volumes u are correct. Our second half deficiencies were directly related. smart, heart, etc didnt get it done he couldnt get it done. he was special for our program but not nearly what was needed for the next level Ruud mirrors this heart smarts being in the right place doesnt get it done. for every play made because of technique 4-5 were missed because of lack of talent. our D needs playmakers not nice guys who are legacy's (someone elses quote) Ruud lacks a lot and i dont believe a Big 12 title or NC is obtainable if he is in the game. But the smarts and heart was good enough to sweep the north and go to the Big12 title game Since we have so many talented linebackers coming back next year and no starters on the D-line I wouldn't be surprised if we added some 3-4 defensive sets to put the best players on the field with Dillard and McKeon in the middle and Ruud and Octavain on the outside. didn't we discuss this last preseason? cmb23
didn't we discuss this last preseason? Isn't it the same discussions EVERY preseason? Just insert different names every couple of years. Quote Link to comment
