As long as you are not planning on doing serious gaming(or at least dont want all the settings on games at max) it looks solid.

The 7300GS is a 'value' card. It will run anything, but just not at max settings.

1 gig of ram is more than enough for XP, but it is the min for vista(the 'sweet spot' for vista is 2 gigs.)

The processor being a celeron is the only thing I dont like. I have never felt they are a good enough value over a regular chip. But I am probly a bit more picky than many are.

Overall, as long as you are not setting up with the plan of hitting games hard with max settings, or doing alot of video or audio encoding, it looks like a solid build.

I was pretty pissed with Vista at first ... but I've gotten used to it quite a bit.

However, Vista does cause some problems with NetZero which I hate. It was actually more compatible with the software it had out for XP, but once I upgraded to the Vista software by NetZero I've had constant disconnections.

So, will the motherboard accept a Core 2 duo chip?
