bethelbacker
LINK Text: Nebraska Cornhuskers (9-5) Key returnees: RB Marlon Lucky, WRs Maurice Purify and Terrence Nunn, LBs Corey McKeon and Bo Ruud Spring star: S Larry Asante. The hard-hitting juco transfer -- who laid out a couple of Nebraska receivers in the spring game -- brought a much-needed physical presence to a suspect secondary. Spring recap: At QB, Arizona State transfer Sam Keller and junior Joe Ganz both looked good in the spring game and will battle into the fall. DTs Ndamukong Soh and Ty Steinkuhler bolster a depleted D-line. CB Zack Bowman suffered a knee injury and could miss a second straight season. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think this is going to be a pretty standard pre-season outlook by the media for the Huskers. I think pretty much everybody is going to rank us in the 18-25 range based off of talent and then wait to see what happens against Southern Cal. I can't say I agree with some of the teams Mandel has a head of us, but I have to keep in mind that it's a preseason poll in April. Quote Link to comment

huskerfan500
pretty good picks, was the 9-5 a predict for our record? Quote Link to comment
Husker J
pretty good picks, was the 9-5 a predict for our record? No, that's just our record from last year. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Can't say I don't agree with the #18 ranking. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
At least they have us ranked....I can't disagree too much on the ranking. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Thats about right, not too high as we haven't really beat anyone to be rated any higher, but yet not too low as to keep us from being in the title game if we run the table. Quote Link to comment
