skersfan Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Wake is a very good program, without the key wins. Two years ago they took every stat against us at home. They had major errors in special teams and interceptions that took them out of the game. They have for the last 5-6 years played toe to toe with the big boys of the ACC. Never winning until last year. But taking VaTech, Florida State, Clemson to the final seconds losing, or in overtime. Their record against top teams is better than ours as far as point comparison is concerned, and they play more of them a year. Give the team respect, they have earned it. They have a coach that gets everything from his players. They will be ready, and I am hearing that there will be very few Nebraska fans in the stadium. This is one of their biggest games ever. I think we win this game, but would not be surprised if we did not. We are not playing a directional school here or podunk U. They will have a lot of pride and dedication after their first conference championship. It will take 60 hard fought minutes to beat them. Do not count this as a rout. This will be a very tough physical game, and win or lose will most likely have an affect on the SC game due to injuries sustained. Quote Link to comment
