Blackshirt
Thought Callahan made some pretty interesting comments during this mornings big 12 coaches call. I cut it up so this mp3 file only includes Callahan's piece. He addresses the "collision", the RuffNex "pop guns", oranges being hurled at him and the team, and his pleasantries with the OU crowd. Take a listen and share your thoughts. Did he come off sounding good? Do you believe him? Did he say anything he shouldnt have? Did he actually SAY anything.. or should he have said more? Will this cause tension b/t him and Stoops/OU? Callahan interview (MP3) Quote Link to comment
DaveH
First of all, blazing speed from this board downloading that file. Upwards of 500k/sec He came off sounding fine. He had a legitimate concern for his players and the people involved in both incidents. The pre-game incident and the post game stuff. Do I believe him? I really have no reason not to in this situation. Would he have brought this up if DeLone hadn't run into the guy? It wouldn't have got the press coverage I'll tell you that. Did he say anthing he shouldn't have? No. He did say something. Like I said, he had a legitimate concern in the pre game setup and he felt he needed to say something about it. Will this cause tension between him and OU? Maybe between him and the fans, but I hope not between and the coaching staff. It is obvious he is getting frustrated, but that doesn't make it OK for fans to throw #$%^ on the field and the cheerleaders to be up in their face at warm ups. Quote Link to comment
Benard
I agree that it may of been a bad situation with the warm ups and how close they were but to say that it was just an accidental collision seems a bit of a stretch to me but I didn't see it so who knows. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
Will this cause tension between him and OU? Maybe between him and the fans, but I hope not between and the coaching staff. I think the tension is already there.IMO Quote Link to comment

Accidental seems like a stretch. It seems like Callahan thinks the Ruf/Neks are ridiculous and maybe they deserved something like that to happen to them. I dunno, it reflects negatively against the university and is Busch League all around. Quote Link to comment
