Castille / Glenn - expect the unexpected

Castille is a very tough, talented young RB who has given the Huskers a shot of adrenalin at times, BUT.....

If he doesn't learn to protect the ball better or comes up injured, coaches Jordan and Callahan will put him on the "back burner" and he'll be just another "afterthought RB". Remember the way many Husker fans loved Cody Glenn's tough running and attitude with the ball the past 2 years? Glenn, a junior, now has two freshmen playing ahead of him and was even relegated to scout team duties this past week. Yes, it is true that Cody has had some nagging injuries, but he still wants to contribute to help this team WIN. It must be really tough on these young men, knowing that coaches make decisions without any regard or concern for the PLAYER. It has to be embarrassing to know that your staff has lost the kids' confidence and your coaches don't CARE to try to motivate them. I know that the scholarship alone should be enough motivation for most young guys, but some support and encouragement from their coaches would do wonders.

I'm not saying "cottle" them, just help them succeed as a person when times get rough.

I hope the way Glenn has been treated doesn't hurt Nebraska's future recruiting in the state of Texas, because coaches in Texas high schools don't turn a deaf ear to kids being mishandled. Point to ponder: You Reap what You Sow.

By the way, how good would it be to see Castille, Glenn, and Lucky on the field at the same time??? Seems Marlon has great hands and vision in the open field and I believe he would be an awesome slot receiver, while the other two could hammer snot bubbles out of opposing defenses.

even if cally stayed, he could never envision or design a play that would put Lucky, Glenn and Castille all in the backfield at the same time. the guy is stuck in his WCO world, which has fallen flat on its' ass.

You and I have are saying the same words out of different mouths. Having Q and Cody in the same backfield looks to be a can't miss combo especially if the OL could make some holes for them. Running Lucky off tackle is a waste of his talent. Get him the ball where he has a bit of room and can use his speed and moves.
