HuskerfaninOkieland
Fox Sports blog Mr. Gill, I wouldn't normally take the time to write like this, but I had back surgery and I have far more free time than I can stand! I think the whole world must know by now that Nebraska is suffering a rough patch. As you can imagine, Nebraskan's are foaming at the bit to find out what will happen next. (and for other reasons...) I know I can't ask you a slew of leading questions on the matter as your probably not at liberty to respond to them, and I respect that. What do you think of the situation facing Nebraska? Is this a poetic I guess the big question everyone is asking, with Dr. Tom back, would you consider returning to Nebraska as the Head coach if the offer was right? Good luck to the Bulls when they face Bowling Green. You and your team would be amazed at the far larger audience that is pulling for you guys. Thanks a million, My real name etc etc Hello Dan, Thank you for the kind words. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Whatever happens with the Huskers or whatever happens with my future is in God's hands. Have a blessed day, Turner Gill Quote Link to comment
huskernation20
Good answer. He was polite and unrevealing. Quote Link to comment
PIMPZILLA
It would have been much more informative if he would have just told us what was going to happen. Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
He better watch out....someone will accuse him of pulling a "Bush"......lol. Quote Link to comment

But now that I read this, I am very disappointed. His response to your email is EXACTLY the same response I received. Word for word. Looks like he is probably getting a ton of emails from Husker fans and has put set his email on out of office assistant. Quote Link to comment
HuskerBruin
I love Gill and I'm a Christian, but one reason I don't want him to be our next coach is because I don't want to hear all of this God talk every time he's interviewed. Someone should just tell him that we all know that he's a Christian and puts his trust in God, so now he doesn't have to state that in every answer he gives. Quote Link to comment

Yeah....it "really" sounds like you're a Christian. Any follower of Christ Jesus would be thrilled to hear someone in such a position making claims about Christ...NOT disappointed. God doesn't even care about the Nebraska Cornhuskers, after all. Talking about God all the time is a little unfocused and... weird, I guess. Quote Link to comment

admo
I do not find anything wrong with what Gill said. Its more than fine with me when someone is humble and uses the Lord's name out of respect. I love God. So I guess some people are different. Quote Link to comment

It's not my email but I would guess you're right by saying he probably has an auto-reply going out right now. At the very least, a standard reply he can copy and paste into an email. HUSKER 37
Looks a little like my Cousin's response to me a few years ago after I emailed him for advice for my nephew when he was thinking about walking on. He played with Turner, too. Quote Link to comment

I just think it's strange when players and coaches bring God into sports. Quote Link to comment
