Just got back from Boulder and....

once again their fans didnt disappoint. There were both CU and NU families sitting all around me with some drunk students on my right. They literally screamed the F word for the entire game with total disregard for the families with small children all around them. Finally a older Husker fan confronted them. They were quite surly at first but then myself and a couple of CU family fans backed the guy up and the classless urchins moved on. It was not the only incident of terrible behavior I saw , but just the one that bothered me the most. I did come to the conclusion that I would never allow my children to attend that cesspool.

And just because one good post deserves another, here's an account from a CU fan about NU fan behavior today:

Three asshats were standing during play in the early 4th qtr w/CU up 16 points- they refused to sit when asked and simply flipped off anybody and everybody around them. They were being reals pricks.

A CU fan came up and put his hand on one of their backs and one of the NU fans made a fist and faked that he was going to punch him in the face-

The guy sitting next to my dad saw enough and bolted down the aisle - in no time at all he came back up w/a Boulder police officer-

NU fan refused to sit and the Boulder police motioned him to come and he was escorted out of our section"

And what about the CU fans who backed you up? Classless urchins as well?

Yeesh, get over yourself already. It's a college football game, and a rivalry game at that, you're in the student section, and you get offended by a few F bombs? What did you think you were going to hear, Raffie lyrics?

A few? This wasnt a few F bombs and the F word was not the only thing they were screaming. They were also screaming a certain word that is used to describe a part of the female anatomy in the most unflattering way. Yes , the C word. These guys were beyond repulsive. If you are actually sticking up for these sad punks , you are as dispicable as they are.BTW , I wasnt in the student section.

I was there as well. No where near the students though. I have never been so freaking cold in my life. Our seats still had snow and ice on them. One lady behind me told me to sit. I turned to her and said, 'you know what I didn't pay for these tickets to sit on ice. No I'm not sitting. Deal with it.!' I found that the CU fans around me were clueless. Screaming stupid stuff just to scream I guess. Oh yeah, there was this one guy who kept screaming 'convict receivers' every time MO would catch a pass. I turned to him and said" you do realize you are in Boulder right??? ok then STFU'

Overall I didn't have a problem with anyone. I did have a problem with the Harvest House charging $30.00 just to park... greedy bastards. We didn't park there.

Although ALL CU supporters, fans, and players really do need to learn how to act like they've been there before. This wasn't a top 10 Nebraska team you just beat. Get over yourselves.

There are bad fans everywhere and some of our fans have not behaved in a respectable manner in these trying times , but to ever compare the bahavior of CU fans to NU fans is comical. As far as i know the Husker student section has never been ejected from a game and nobody in Lincoln has been hit with a D battery or a urine filled water balloon.

Not that they didn't try, though. Unlike some CU students who threw some water bottles at an uninhabited patch of grass, some NU students took it upon themselves to throw bottles at A PERSON (Brandon Drumm) after he scored in Lincoln in 2002.

Don't even try to look down your nose at CU for fan behavior, not anymore. Not after this year. Find a story for me about a CU fan threatening the life of a CU coach, or one about CU fans booing the children of our head coach, THEN you can go ahead and say whatever you want.

I wished one of those brave CU fans would have taken the snowball to the back of my head a few years back. I vote my pocketbook and boycott games at Folsum. Never going back again!

PS...I didn't throw anything at my tv today!!!! :clap Totally expected this outcome.

Didn't your kicker from 1999 end up leaving the team b/c of all the death threats he received after missing a field goal that wouldve beaten Nebraska?

Read my above post. Some of our fans are not behaving in a classy manner. It has alot to do with us not being use to losing like CU is. See you next year in Lincoln , where I am 99% positive that you will be treated with the upmost respect besides the occasional good natured ribbing. Good luck in your bowl game and leave the batteries at home.

wow, Colorado actually had fans at the game? I figured as usual they were too stoned to make their way to the stadium.

btw, sCrump...your story of "poor NU fans" is tame. NU fans refused to sit down? OMG!!! CALL THE POLICE!! Even though you guys might not, there ARE schools whose fans stand the entire game and scream for their team.

Here is my experience. So when I got everything was ok when Nebraska was do well I would cheer like crazy and all of the CU fans around spit on me. i can't believe that it could get that bad. They take this so called "rivalry" too far.(The only true rivavlry for me is Oklahoma, CU made this rivavlry by themselves). So once again CU fans still have to be my worst expierience in College Football.
