Turkey, Ham, Beef? Decorate the outside of your house? None of the above. I have no kids so I really dont have to do all that stuff. I will buy my GF some fishing gear , because I know it will end up being my fishing gear soon. I'll send my folks a nice bottle of wine as I do every year. They will send me more fishing gear. A bunch of my relatives in Nebraska have turned into Jahovahs Witnesses so I dont have to worry about them anymore. The GF is going to Minnesota to see her folks for the holidays so it will be the dog , the cat and myself here for Christmas. Sounds like the perfect Christmas to me. Quote Link to comment

HuskerNCo
seems like oyster stew is something most don't know about. I'm thinking maybe the oyster stew might be an East Coast thing? I grew up in PA and had Oyster Stew always for Christmas Eve...maybe it's just me... Quote Link to comment
hskrdedhed
I would say that you should get a real tree. It is the lesser of 2 evils. A fake tree will eventually end up in a landfill whereas a real tree will decompose naturally. A real tree is usually grown for just that purpose and is a renewable resource. That's what Al Gore would do. Quote Link to comment

T_O_Bull
My family came west from the New England states after the French and Indian Wars. Oyster stew is a Christmas Eve Tradition. Made with real butter and creame. Can feel my arteries blocking already. ...T_O_B Quote Link to comment
