DJR313
I would be very much on board with him had I never heard how he badmouthed the University to recruits(Dillard and Roark). I really hope that was a misunderstanding. I wish him success and hope his intentions are good. Welcome back to Lincoln, Mr. Pelini. Quote Link to comment
Husker Deb
Totally back Bo and his staff! Welcome back to Lincoln! Quote Link to comment
admo
I was very skeptical. I listened to the audio presser on Huskers.com just now. I have to say that I am pleased to the point to wish him the best. He does seem more mature. And it's exciting to know he wants this defense to be great. I believe he will do something about it. If Tom Osborne says he's the man, then he must be. Count me in. BO BiG ReD! Quote Link to comment
BenchWarmer
He thanked Frank Solich numerous times. That showed a tremendous amount of class. I may have been harsh on him but he showed me something in the press conf. I'm on board the Pelini bandwagon(unless he gets into a fist fight with another coach during the post game meeting then I reserve judgement). Its done Bo is the Coach. Let all bygones be bygones and judge him on his job as coach. I, too, am now on the Pelini bandwagon. My first choice was Turner Gill, however, Bo is the one that Tom picked and I trust Tom. I was very impressed by the fact that Bo shared how he has grown. His passion for football was a scary point for me because I didn't feel like we needed someone who was going to go ballistic on the sidelines. The interview showed that he has grown. He answered some very tough questions and did so in a straight forward manner and somewhat shrewdly in my opinion. Bo also gave us a new name. We are no longer 'Husker Nation' but 'Husker Family' I like that much better. Welcome Home Bo. Best wishes for a new career. Ok. So he shouldn't have called Bill S. an Assh*le on national TV. It was not a smart decision to express it out loud. That being said...he was factually accurate . Coaches, sales managers, and bosses of all types have said for years that it's MUCH easier to pull someone with enthusiasm back than it is to try and fire someone up who has no enthusiasm. We probably will get some 15-yarders because of him, but Bo is going to be a great coach. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
if that's what it takes to bring back the nastiness of the Blackshirts, then i'm willing to accept that. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I am happy with this selection. There were a lot of good ones to choose from and i think we will see that we got a good one here. I can't wait to see how he deals with the assistants from bc's staff. I bet they get a fair look Quote Link to comment
