Huskerhead1976
Some of you need to remember that the JUCO wasnt always called that and those types of players were always used heavily down through the years so it wasnt just callahans idea. I cannot remember what the terminology for a juco was but it was talked about after a recent press conference of how TO did go after quite a few of those players. Quote Link to comment
strigori
A few Jucos a year are a good thing, making them a linchpin on the program is a problem. Callahan couldnt develop talent, and used the Juco ranks like Free Agency in the NFL. Just look at last year's secondary. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Hey guys, remember Zac Taylor? He was a pretty good juco player right? Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Problem was we were getting plenty of JUCO-guys but running complex schemes that made JUCO-guys less-effective. I'd expect Bo and Watson's schemes to be a little easier, that should increase the likelihood of JUCO-guys really contributing. I don't see Watson changing a lot but should be enough that we don't have to run to the sidelines to get plays anyway. Quote Link to comment
