Husker_Power
GLENDALE, Ariz. - Oklahoma defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger was sent back to Norman Sunday for disciplinary reasons and won't play in Wednesday's Fiesta Bowl. Granger, a sophomore, was a second-team All-Big 12 selection by the coaches. He made 35 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks in his full season as a starter. Granger's absence means redshirt freshman Gerald McCoy, senior Steven Coleman, junior Cory Bennett and redshirt freshman Adrian Taylor will rotate at the defensive tackle spots. Granger is the third defensive starter that will miss the game. Defensive backs Reggie Smith (broken toe) and Lendy Holmes (academically ineligible) were ruled prior to the Sooners arrival in Arizona. LINK Quote Link to comment
