strigori
Interior D linemen can be hard to tell when they are performing well. If they are demanding double teams every play, they are getting the job done taking that extra O lineman off a pass rusher, even if it doesnt show in the stat line. A guy with Suh's size and apparent athletic ability should be doing better than he was last season. I think with the very different style of defense we will see next year, he should be a much better player. Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
Jared Tomich didn't have nearly as impressive senior campaign as junior campaign. Was it because he didn't play as well? No, it was because of the extra double teams. With the improvement of the other interior lineman, it will give Suh a lot better chance and less double teams. I think he will have an explosive year if some of the other interior linemen improve. The rest of the line will have to help him out some. Most people realized they could double him cause no one else on the D-line was doing much. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
In all fairness to Suh...Dorsey did get a chance to learn while playing behind two All-American (Kyle Williams and Claude Wroten) linemen. What All-American's did Suh have to learn the tircks of the trade from... Oh yeah...he had C******* to help him along.... How did you get around the censor?! Quote Link to comment
CornHunka
Lane Grindel was talking about Suh on Sports Nightly sometime this week. He stated, and I wholeheartedly agree that Suh might just be a barometer for this coaching staff. Suh has all the physical tools to be an exceptional defensive lineman, size, speed, strength, you name it. Now, he needs someone to light a fire under him and get him playing like we know he can play. The defensive philosophy will change from read and react to attack will showcase his ability also. I'm looking forward to watch Suh and the rest of Bo's defense. Ain't nobody gonna put 60 on Bo's defense. Quote Link to comment

He was completely frustrated with the defensive coaching. Infact he considered transfering. The only reason he didn't was because of the one year off rule oh and he really likes the engineering classes NE has. The decision to stay was was for the education and he "hoped" the football would work out. He and his mother went to Coz and asked what he could work on several times and the only response was "you'll be ok". He asked if he should work on foot work, hands, or what and how can he get the help. Coz had the same response.... This comes straight from a family member of Sue's. With proper coaching, he will be a beast. Quote Link to comment
