bigredtoad
"Their recruiters could sell ice to Eskimos," Grant football coach Gary Thorson said. "They were very impressive." This just says it all!!! Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Dan Alexander was an interesting player. Man could he run for a guy 250 pounds. He fumbled too damn much. Somebody used to tell me it was because his biceps were too big. He also got hurt alot, he had like 2% body fat. Quote Link to comment

Measured 6' even, 257 lbs. 4.42 in the 40. An absolute freak, great straight ahead runner. As far as Teamer, anyone have any insight as to why he is pondering leaving. I know he has had some injury problems. Quote Link to comment
bigredtoad
Wow i did not realise he possesed that kind of speed. Interesting cant believe a NFL team wont take a chance again on a guy like that just as a FB. Maybe he cant block real well? Maybe if hes good enough at LB in arean he could play in the NFL again at that pos someday. Quote Link to comment

Benard
Turner Article Great Beck Article Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Just a few awesome quotes from the Turner article. But Turner, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound defensive end prospect, chose Nebraska. "It came down to a hard decision, but I just went with my heart," Turner said. As for turning down Tennessee? "I mean, your hometown state," Turner said. "That's hard." Flatt believes Nebraska defensive line coach John Blake had a lot to do with Turner's decision. "I think he did a great job," Flatt said of Blake. Turner said the coaches, the facilities and a "crazy amount of fan support" impressed him the most on his visit "From the time I stepped out of the car," Turner said, "it was like a movie." joshuavacek
The Beck article was great. Harrison sounds like a great kid and who better to idolize than Farve. I know he will not be our starter this year but it will be fun to watch him play in some games later in the season. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
Wasn't it Alexander that ran 50-60 yards ? for a TD against CO at Boulder and outran their whole D backfield with all those speedy little guys? Quote Link to comment
