Bugeater23
Frank Beamer is not only a class act and one of the best coaches in NCAA, he also has a ton of respect for the Huskers. Coach Beamer said Nebraska is as big as it gets when it comes to History, Tradition, and Success. He said he believes Nebraska is on their way back to being the PowerHouse they were, and he is impressed with the size and effort of play on this years team. The best thing he said when asked by the reporter about Nebraska and Oklahoma and how their programs had possibly helped mold his career at Virgina Tech since the early 70s ......Coach Beamer said both schools were always mentioned when discussing college footballs top 4 or 5 programs, but Nebraska was the team at the top.... I usually have no problems with coaches.....Boddy Bowden, really respect the guy, hate his team. Beamer...good guy. Va Tech, Not so much......these coaches have a job to look completely professional and they do a good job at it. But their teams on the other hand..... Quote Link to comment
holvy83
No doubt, got to respect guys like Beamer, Bowden and Paterno, in this day of age for a player to choose to play for those schools is all about the respect and tradition and not the glitz and glamour a la Florida, USC... HuskerTrucker
What else would you expect him to say? I mean, if they win, then he positions himself to say that the beat the mighty Huskers...if he loses he can say that he lost to one of the best programs. It is kind of like being politically correct and CYA. However, I do still think Beamer is a good coach, and as such, you have to respect him for that. He is also not the type to shoot off his mouth and put out bulletin board material, also. So, if that is class...yeah, he is classy. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
Everyone should respect these coaches. Quote Link to comment
Cheshire Bear.
He's a good guy. Want a crash course in special teams? Watch VT since he's been there. Quote Link to comment
